We've got our Taycan is loaded and ready.

**Matt Harmon** (0:03)
Absolutely dominant on deep routes, absolutely dominant on short routes.

**James Koh** (0:07)
Our boys are backbanging.

Excellent separation against ManCover. This is Reception Perception The Show.

Yo, what's cracking everybody? James Koh, Matt Harmon here with you. You're listening to Reception Perception The Show. If you are watching on the video side, this is a first for your boy.
I am recording this bad boy in my car. So if the sound quality sounds a little bit different, it's because I'm in my car. But I've got the full setup though, Matt Harmon. So I'm a professional, clearly. Yeah.

**Matt Harmon** (0:38)
No, you look good. I will say this for the people. I'm going to go ahead and maybe instinct that we might not use much video from the show considering you are in your car. But I don't know. Maybe we'll see. I will say for the audio listeners, I just want to know James is in his car. His car is not moving. Oh yeah. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people record.
They're doing the interview in their car. They're clearly driving their car.
Especially, I guess it's one thing if you've got the tripod up, it's stuck to your windshield. But when people are clearly holding a phone in their hand and we're driving, it's truly insanity. That drives me crazy. James is sitting in his car, he is not moving. There's that.

**James Koh** (1:37)
There's a long backstory on this.
But the short and tall of it is that I lost internet in my house, I'm scrambling. Now I'm outside my brother-in-law's crib, but I'm alergic to his cat, so I am in my car doing this show, which is great. Anyways, today, today's show.

**Matt Harmon** (1:54)
Today's show.

It's all about the rookies, man. It is all about the rookies. But before we get to the rookies, I want to get to one of the oldest wide receivers in the league. Odell Beckham is back. Something or nothing. They're in New York, Matt Harmon.

**Matt Harmon** (2:12)
Yeah, man. Look, it's a good story. I will say this, by the way.
Odell Beckham, I don't know if you saw this kerfuffle on social media about when he did the locker room interview with some of the reporters after the preseason game, talking about whether he had done enough to make the roster. People were like, oh, my God, why does he look so old? Why does he look so different, Odell? And I'm like, well, and like putting pictures of when he was younger. Well, number one, he he literally is older. That's the first part of it. The second part of it is he might have gotten a little work done on his face. I'm going to go ahead and say he might have gotten a little procedure done on the face, maybe a little buccal fat removal. You guys can look that up for the non-initiated.
Personally, not wealthy enough to have ever had my buccal fat removed. So there's that. But also I think the biggest thing is he just shaved the beard. This Odell Beckham kerfuffle on Twitter was like confirmation 100 on why you never shaved the beard. OK, once you got the beard, keep it forever. So that's my biggest takeaway of this. But also, yeah, it's pretty cool to see for him. We'll see how much of an impact he makes on the team. But if he just makes one really cool catch in a big game for the Giants, I think it'll all have been worth it for the New York Giants.

**James Koh** (3:29)
OK, I like it. Rookie Trust Tree, we've got a lot of names to get through here.
Jordan Tyson on IR officially now, but so he'll miss at least the first four games of the season. When and if he comes back, Matt Harmon, Rookie Trust Tree, Jordan Tyson.

**Matt Harmon** (3:48)
I mean, I have no idea.
I mean, I love his fit in this offense. I think he is a highly talented player who definitely has some inconsistencies to work out of his game, but was the best zone beater in this class from a success rate standpoint. He's actually one of the best zone beaters that I've charted in the last five or six draft classes. So ultimately, somebody that I think is a really good player who fits, again, fits the offense.
I think this unit will, the way it's designed, lean into his strengths while masking his flaws. But the issue is just trust tree, like if that's the true nature of the exercise here, we might not see this guy till week nine of the NFL season because he's going to miss the first month plus. They come, the first game that if it's the six week timeline, I believe the first game back is in an international game. Then he plays on MetLife turf. It's just like then they hit the buy. I think it goes MetLife international game by week nine. We might not see him till week nine. I have no idea how you can trust what he'll be at that point. But it certainly fits the offense in a really talented player. All right.
