Welcome back to another Fourth and Four. It's Kyle Rush, it's Mike Gittins, and we're licking our wounds and healing on the golf course here at Auburn University Club. We're gonna do the same thing we did last time. We're gonna play around, a little two man scramble and talk some Auburn ball.

Mike Gittins (0:29)

Yeah, look, I talked to my good buddy Tiger. He gave me some tips on how to improve my golf game this round. This segment is brought to you by our friends at Kalsi, America's number one prediction network. You're trading against peers in a live market, so there's no house, which means I make a trade, you make a trade, and if I win, Big Bank take Little Bank, Kalsi, we appreciate them for sponsoring this segment.

What's our Kalsi number for today? We shot plus one.

Kyle Rush (0:58)

Yeah, one over last time. One over last time, yeah. So, we just want to get better.

Mike Gittins (1:01)

We just want to get better.

Kyle Rush (1:02)

We want to get better.

Mike Gittins (1:03)

All right, get your trades in.

Over or under, even par. That's what we're going to today. Kyle was a disappointing game last week versus Florida.

Jaden Ball, I want to give Florida their credit. Jaden Ball is every bit of the best back in the country, I think. I think Summerall brought his guys in prepared. It was a little painful watching him take celebratory pictures with his family right outside the media room after the game. But you've got to bounce back quickly. You've got to put this one in the rear view mirror. We heard from Alex Golish this week, and he just said, we made too many mistakes.

Kyle Rush (1:42)

I mean, that is the whole, it seemed like on both sides of the ball, it was a lot of mistakes, primarily on defense. Like, let's don't kid ourselves, the defense was really bad. Buster Faulkner had an unbelievable game plan.

Mike Gittins (1:55)

He did.

Kyle Rush (1:55)

And there was no answer for it. And then the slow starts are continuing to plague Auburn on offense, and that's something, I think, also, you've got to get remedied.

But like you said, I kind of want them to stew on it a little bit. I want it to hurt for a few days, because it's hurting me. It's hurting us for a few days. Yeah, it hurt.

Mike Gittins (2:13)

I could watch the highlights.

Kyle Rush (2:14)

Don't, and don't just chalk it up. Like there's some killer things going on right there that could really sink any plans of success that you have. You got to fix them. I think they can fix them. And I think you got a chance to right some wrongs this weekend.

Mike Gittins (2:29)

I do. I do think so. It seems correctable to me. But you got to correct it fast. Look, man, there's something to be said about a team that doesn't give up. I felt like they didn't give up in that game. They kept after it offensively. And I'm kind of excited about the wide receivers, man, after this one. When given opportunities to make plays, they're making it. So you just got to give Jeremiah Cobb those same opportunities. You got to give Omar Matson those same opportunities. Got to give Bryson Washington those same opportunities. Byron Brown has to have help to do this. Can't do it on his own. This is the SEC.

We need some help on this first hole, which is really hole 10 What do we got here?

Kyle Rush (3:07)

Yeah, same thing as last week. We got hole 10 It's about 400 yards, dog-leg left, up the hill. We parted it last time. Let's see if we can birdie. Let's get a birdie. Let's get a birdie. That'd be awesome.

Nothing to it but to do it. You just got to hit it out there and play. So I'm going to try to hit this rope hook in the fairway, in the short glass.

Mike Gittins (3:38)

Sounded good.

Kyle Rush (3:39)

I got it through, but it's going to be, it's going to be left and we're going to have to grind. Okay.

Mike Gittins (3:52)

Cleared it. Oh, it's so fast.

Kyle Rush (3:59)

Mike, much like the Auburn offense, that was not the start we wanted to get off to.

Mike Gittins (4:04)

Bogey on the first.

Kyle Rush (4:05)

Bogey on the first, but there's plenty of holes. We got eight holes left, playing time to bounce back. Speaking of getting off to a slow start, Mike, three games now, even including, so far, the first game, the second game, the third game, the fourth game, the fifth game, the sixth game, even including Southern Miss, first drives of the game, zero points, I think only 46 total yards, a turnover.
