This is VSiN, the SportsBetting Network. This is Follow the Money with Mitch Moss and Pauly Howard on VSiN.

Mitch Moss (0:20)

It's good to have you on board. Thanks for watching. YouTube TV, listening on Series XM, Channel 189, iHeart Radio, TuneIn Radio, or any of our great affiliates across the country. Coming up in this hour, a great looking Major League Baseball card tonight on tap. That's in 15 minutes. Derek Stevens in studio, his weekly spot owner and CEO of Circa Las Vegas. Bottom of the hour, NFL here, looking back at last night's game. We told you all about those under trends with Chiefs game games. Another one came in last night. How did that stay under the total, by the way?

Pauly Howard (0:51)

Lucky. Absolutely. Denver was terrible. Webb, the play calling atrocious and then the turnovers either didn't result in touchdown settling for field goals or just totally died like the Raider game.

Mitch Moss (1:03)

Yeah, there's also this. The referee last night was Clay Martin. The Chiefs now improved to 9-0 outright when he is the head ref.

Denver now 0-4 last four when he was the ref on the road. For those of you who put any stock into what referees have been like in their history. Mahomes, not much to speak of last night. Again, longest completed area yard pass, 6 yards. Average depth of target, 4.24 yards. Passing EPA per play, negative 0.14. But the Broncos had a missed tackle rate of almost 29%.

It's an alt, next-gen stats, I think it broke their computer.

Pauly Howard (1:43)

Just horrible, never happened before. A 14-win-plus team to look like that the first game and to get blown out like that. That's the biggest loss.

And you have to hate yourself when you saw Mahomes get in for the first touchdown of the game, too. For not taking it?

Mitch Moss (1:58)

30-1, of course. I was absolutely sick. I mean, making the case yesterday, we had a guest on, it looks like Bo Nix, they're going to design, never once in the game did they heaver consider taking off, nor did they actually run anything. And it's Patrick Mahomes the whole time.

Pauly Howard (2:11)

Could this derail their season about we have to, this guy deserves an opportunity, and we were so concerned he was going to leave, we have to promote him, that now he's going to take away the play calling duties from a Hall of Fame coach, and he's not ready or not qualified, or not up to snuff, whatever you want to say.

Mitch Moss (2:31)

I'm here for all of it.

Pauly Howard (2:32)

Yeah.

Mitch Moss (2:32)

Well, I'll tell you, again.

Half the time I watch Bo Nix, I think, well, I was wrong in this guy, he's actually pretty good. The other half I'm like, he is absolutely terrible and will never win anything.

Pauly Howard (2:42)

Sutton, Waddle, Ingram, Bryant, Dobbins, Harvey, come on, you got weapons. It shouldn't look like that.

Mitch Moss (2:50)

I agree with those in Denver who said Evan Ingram was the best player in the field last night. And they said they never thought that Sens would ever come out of their mouths.

And he may have been the best player on the team. You can't have the Denver Broncos best player be Evan Ingram ever.

Pauly Howard (3:04)

Third and one empty, Aikman was baffled, so was I. Third and five, he's got Bryant, he's open, he drops it. Would have been a first down. That was big. He got bailed out by the interception, the miscommunication there, guy ran the wrong route.

He wasn't on the same page with Mahomes, couldn't take advantage there. It was, and then they just, future performance in the second half.

Mitch Moss (3:24)

Okay. You and I got into it a little bit yesterday regarding the Browns quarterback, the future of that position.

Pauly Howard (3:30)

Yeah. Don't lie to the fans. Come on.

Mitch Moss (3:32)

So VSiN tweeted it out as well. It was a fun conversation. We don't get into like yelling arguments like that very often on the program. Felt good to do it again. So I'm going to go in fresh. I think you are as well. Okay. This is going to be great. A couple of different soundbites here from Brown's new head coach, Todd Monkin. Here's the first one.

He says the film confirmed what he felt and that set to Sean Watson deserves to start against Tampa Bay.

SPEAKER_4 (3:59)

It confirmed it when I looked at the tape. We got to play better around him. We got to call it better and he's got to play better. It wasn't just our inability to function consistently as an offense was a byproduct of we coaching playing.
