Always follow the money.
Mark Stoops (0:02)
That's what I was saying, always follow the money. This is Follow the Money with Mitch Moss and Pauly Howard on VSiN.
Mitch Moss (0:10)
Hardcore Football Friday, Mitch, Pauly, live, Vegas Circa Resort and Casino, busy hour coming up. We'll get into a little college football in 15 minutes.
Ryan Kramer, he's on the show coming up at the bottom of the hour, two full segments with him, his best bet for the NFL. Week one that we have on Tap Pauly, how are you feeling about the tennis right now? Zverev led in the first set 6-3 there, now knotted up in the second set 6-6.
Pauly Howard (0:35)
This will determine the total. I got the over.
Mitch Moss (0:38)
What's the number?
Pauly Howard (0:38)
So this is high 30s, I believe.
Mitch Moss (0:41)
Okay.
Pauly Howard (0:42)
So it's going to be epic coming up tonight with Tiafoe and Shelton, and I still think the winner is going to have an excellent chance. Certainly, you'd like to get the one seat out of there.
But I know he's had the easiest path ever, maybe to the final of a major.
Mitch Moss (0:57)
Not right.
Pauly Howard (0:58)
Because the whole bracket blew up with him.
Mitch Moss (0:59)
Yeah. So I will say this about the finale on Sunday. So for a year, CBS had the rights to it, and the contract called for them to play it at 4 o'clock Eastern time, which meant no double header on CBS, no afternoon game.
So this would always be at 4 o'clock East Coast, 1 o'clock out here in the West Coast. We are always like, what are we doing here? Why is tennis on CBS? Why don't we get more football here? And then a sports book would have all the games on, whatever. Now they moved it up now. It's 2 o'clock Eastern from what I gather, from what I looked at anyway.
11 o'clock out here in the West Coast. But with Shelton slash Tiafoe making the finale on the American side, Sunday now, that's going to go against the witchy now we're in the NFL. I'd rather have it in the late afternoon. We're never happy, Pauly.
Pauly Howard (1:44)
No, we're part of the night.
Mitch Moss (1:45)
But that'd be good too. But I will absolutely have my eyes on this tennis match as well on Sunday.
Pauly Howard (1:51)
Anthony's right. I mean, they have to do something with the schedule. You can't have one of the best tennis matches ever. And most hype matches in a long time. And nobody got to see it because it got over 3.3 in the morning.
Mitch Moss (2:02)
We have documented over and over and over again, when these teams play over the years, and we've done it again this week, the Bills and the Texans, that the Texans defense apparently is Josh Allen's team tonight, the one game a couple of years ago, nine for 30 That was it. They had to try to, right? I mean, it's the worst completion percentage with a quarterback with at least 30 attempts going back like decades in one game. And he was far from great when they played last year. I had a couple of INTs. I would say that this game, my comparison to this would be, it's like saying Shohei Otani has good numbers at Coors Field.
Josh Allen cannot play well against the Texans defense. Maybe he does it for the first time in his career, but like this version of the Texans defense. But I fully expect the Texans defense to be the story of this game yet again. And probably like 44 and a half.
This is one of the games I want to play a teaser on, like teasing it down to like below 57 and a half.
Pauly Howard (3:00)
Yeah, it's a 17-3-1 under run for Houston when you got a total this high.
And I'm shocked they're home dogs.
The last two meetings, when he holds the ball longer than two and a half seconds, 13 to 34, 200 yards, nine sacks.
And to push back on Anthony, it's more than that. He's owing four in Houston. It's worse than that. And he's had some horrible performances. So I'm anxious and interested to see how DJ Moore looks. I think it's a great move that they went with Brady. And they said, we left a lot out there. And McDermott kind of was conservative and wouldn't let Brady and Lee Schell. We're about to see. They do have a difficult schedule. I expect them to win the division. Excited about Leonard is the DC. But I think the drought ends. The only team in the history of the organization never to make a conference title game. I think the Texans get it done this year.
