Opponents are hitless in their last 33 at bats with two strikes against Aaron Ashby. Since the start of September, opposing hitters are hitting 87 with two strikes against Ashby.

And this all-time run in the postseason with Milwaukee's bullpen as well. So must win doesn't mean must bet, but you just see the price. Is it going for the three-peat and laying $1.85 and a got to have it game? But so, yeah, okay, maybe Gasser only goes three innings or four innings, but Dodgers over the last 27 against lefties can't hit. Maybe Mike's right, Snell only gives them five innings, and it's a bullpen game, and that favors Milwaukee big time.

Mike doesn't think, he bet under, does not think he'll go five innings. And he brought up a great point, by the way, in the commercial break, because how many times have we seen a team work Yamamoto over like they did the other night?

Yeah, that was impressive.

It's never happened in the postseason ever. I mean, the guy's automatic. I mean, he has numbers that rival the best postseason pitchers ever, and he's good for six plus innings and giving you, and I'm being light on that, by the way, and allowing like nothing hits, runs at all, striking out a bunch. And they made him work the entire, that was so impressive what they did. And if they can do that to Yamamoto, it tells me that if he doesn't have it tonight, first of all, he can walk the ballpark, as he mentioned. Yeah, that he might be, it might be a short lived outing with him. Now it comes down to then Gasser and what that's going to look like and how long he could potentially go. But this Dodgers lineup at the top is going to go Betts, Freeman, Hernandez, Tucker, Pahes, then Otani.

And Kiki Hernandez is not in the lineup tonight.

What's the worst that can happen if Robert says to Otani, not tonight, even though you could argue you're benching Babe Ruth and you're hurting us and you're not healthy, whatever, just give, that's a lefty one night off.

Is damage going to be done? Well, I just, I mean, this guy, forget about all time career. This guy is Babe Ruth in the play offs. It did not have Hernandez in the lineup against the lefty. And I think it's ridiculous.

Oh, I'm sure it's massive. And that was also, this point was made off air, but I thought Salpel had a great line, too, about these NFL coaches, that they think they're bulletproof and ego plays into it in hubris. And it's just like, no one's going to, oh, wait, wait a second. I'm getting criticized now. Right, right. Whereas what I'm doing with the end of game decisions as well, but I'm sure, I'm sure it's a big ego. And certainly he's earned it considering the career that he's had. No question. I just don't know. I think it also takes a big man to go and say ego aside, I'm hurting the team. I'm not helping you. I'm a liability out there.

The reason why I asked about the ego, I'm guessing it's the size of the Grand Canyon. So if he's benched tonight, you know that he does have that key man opt out clause.

Pauly Howard (3:47)

Like would Otani be willing to be like, you benched me when we're down? What I have done for you the last two years, what I have meant to the sport with my, you're putting me on the bench.
