Well, now we're on tap. Thanks for watching, as always, on YouTube TV, listening on SiriusXM channel 158, iHeartRadio, TuneIn Radio, or any of our great affiliates across the country. We will get into tonight's Major League Baseball Betting Card coming up in 15 minutes. Couple of bets there for myself. And Derek Stevens on the program at the bottom of the hour, they had, well, with their promotion, with the Cubs that they have tied into, some lucky fan won a trip to Circa when PCA walked it off last night. That's the deal that they have there. What a good friend of mine, by the way, was in Chicago this weekend, and he was at the Cubs game on Sunday.
He missed that game last night by one day. That place was on fire last night when he hit that home run.
**Pauly Howard** (0:55)
Absolutely.

Yesterday on the program, we kicked around the idea of how I like to bet backup quarterbacks to win offensive rookie of the year in the NFL. Don't do it every year, but when it might make some sense, where it might be a weak class overall, and the guys behind a dicey quarterback, who's the starter anyway, might have an injury history, this guy gets in, may have some good weapons, and the rest could be history. I made the case, well, I hated the pick, but kicking this around with Ty Simpson, like what if something happens to Matthew Stafford? As Jonathan Von Tobel and I discussed, the newest edition of Pod of the Futures is out, wherever you get your podcasts. My whole thing is, that bet's going one of two ways. Very likely, burning money, Pauly, because Stafford can easily play the entire year, they go on, win the Super Bowl, yada, yada, yada. However, if Stafford is hurt with enough runway for Simpson to come in and play, that 75 to 1 turns into, I say less than 10 to 1
And you're sitting there with a guy that's going to have a real possibility in that offense with that head coach to maybe win the award. I've not made that bet yet. JVT brought up this guy in the podcast. By the way, new city with the Jets, Priest Hall going to miss two to three weeks. Behind him, Braylon Allen and Isaiah Davis are back. I bring that up for a reason. He brought up Cade Klubnik, offensive rookie of the year.
So, even if Hall misses time.
**Pauly Howard** (2:21)
Gino taking to the promised land.
**Mitch Moss** (2:23)
Certainly. I like Braylon Allen as a backup. Isaiah Davis had some splashy moments last year. They have weapons is all I'm saying. Garrett Wilson, AD. Mitchell drafted Omar Cooper.
They drafted Kenyon Sadiq. They have Mason Taylor already. Offensive lines, not great. Consensus rankings, checks him in at number 21 overall, but here's the whole rub on this.
Geno Smith, the last two years, 2024, had 15 INTs, second most in the entire league and 17 INTs last year. That led the league. 23 turnover-worthy plays in 15 games last year, tied for the third most. 18 turnover-worthy plays in 17 games in 2024 That's who he is and what he does.
**Pauly Howard** (3:08)
It's hilarious. Shauna can't stand him. Hates Geno Smith.
**Mitch Moss** (3:11)
Why is that?
**Pauly Howard** (3:12)
Because he's watching all the Raiders' games and how bad he was. Can't believe how bad he was and can't stand him.
**Mitch Moss** (3:19)
She's got a good eye, then.
**Pauly Howard** (3:20)
No kidding. But that goes back to kind of like, when will they pull the plug? How many games will he play?
Because I don't want any part of Mendoza. That's crazy at plus 550
**Mitch Moss** (3:32)
Right. Right.
**Pauly Howard** (3:32)
We talked that they're going to be a bad team, a last place team. And then there's probably going to be two months of cousins, at least six weeks of cousins.
**Mitch Moss** (3:41)
Now, the problem is, let's be honest here, Klubnick stunk last year at Clemson, even before he got hurt. He did not come close to living up to the hype, from what he was like as a high school prospect going to Clemson.
**Pauly Howard** (3:53)
He's had some rough practices, too.
**Mitch Moss** (3:55)
Sure, yes.
But I think there's an angle here where Gino would not be the starting quarterback the entire time. And then the question becomes, to your point, Paul, like when would he get into the games? Well, we saw this, Tyler Schock almost won it last year. And what if the Saints win their final game of the year?
