Global X is one of the fastest growing ETF providers in Australia, and I'm proud to have worked with them for many years. Global X has a range of specialized ETFs covering things like commodities or even things like income. As Australia embraces more income focused styles of investing, the ETF that I want to highlight for today's show is the Global X S&P ASX 200 High Dividend ETF, or ZYAU for short. This ETF targets dividend paying companies in Australia and does it in a way that's diversified and tries to identify quality companies. You can learn more about how this ETF is constructed and get access to the critical materials such as the PDS and TMD at globalxetf.com.au.
Customer expectations are always shifting and the pricing model that worked last year may not work today. With Stripe Billing, you can launch subscriptions, usage based pricing, or hybrid pricing files.
You can use Stripe Billing to build your business model. It's part of why 61% of SaaS companies already charge or plan to charge based on usage. 86% of the Forbes AI50 run on Stripe. Learn how you can power any business model at stripe.com/billing. Stripe is built for whatever comes next.

As an investor, you always have to remember that it's the X-Files, right? You want to believe, like I want to believe that this is going to make me money. And we are the easiest person to fall is yourselves. You never know what worse luck your bad luck has saved you from, right? So maybe they will look back in years to come and go, that was the best thing that ever happened because six months later, we listed on the NASDAQ and the rest is history.
Owen Raszkiewicz (1:39)
Where did you go from the moment of cool thing happening over there on the fence? I'm going to peer over and actually, I'm going to jump over now and have a look and actually get into that. Like, what was that moment for you?

Hello and welcome to this episode. This 2 Sense episode, very special one indeed on the Australian Investors Podcast. My usual partner in crime, Drew Meredith, is OOO today and we've been on the road for the past few weeks. Would you believe it, we've been joined by royalty in the absence of that. We had a replay of Matt Joss here on the podcast a few weeks ago. We had Scott Phillips appear on the podcast last week. And just to top it off, the trifecta is Andrew Page, the founder of Strawman. Mate, how you going? Good.
Andrew Page (2:38)
Getting the band back together, mate. The old crew.
Owen Raszkiewicz (2:41)
Oh, yeah. Yeah. And yeah, it's a cherished few, that's for sure. But for those of you that don't know Andrew, Andrew is the founder of Strawman, easily Australia's best investment community. You can go online, sign up for a free account, and maybe if you're lucky one day, get an invite to join the premium version of the platform.
Andrew is, I believe, one of Australia's best investors. And I know you're sitting around in front of me, mate, but I'll say that for the record and in particular in small caps. And how do I know all this stuff? It's because one, I worked with Andrew previously, but two, he's got a public track record, which you can go and verify on the Strawman website. That's what the whole thing is about.
And we're going to talk about that. We're going to talk about small caps. We're going to talk about some news. We're going to talk about Andrew's take on Bitcoin, which I know some people have heard it. But for those of you that haven't, we'll cover that a little bit. But I just want to understand why someone who I consider to be one of the best investors I know then switched focus to Bitcoin. Sorry, I can't even keep a straight face as you say that.
Andrew Page (3:44)
It's so wild.
Owen Raszkiewicz (3:46)
So I want to know why that happened. But mate, there was some news out for the past week or so.
It's important because it was suggested that this would be the second biggest IPO in Australia's history, which is Firmus. Then the whole thing within 24 hours is completely unraveled, and it subsequently descended into complete chaos. People are saying the regulators should get involved and just check what happened. This was Firmus, AI, I'll call it a data center provider. What was your take on this just writ large?
