And at this hour, investigators still have few clues about where Jodi Huisentruit might be.

**SPEAKER_3** (0:18)
The FBI is now involved in the case, and they're beginning to concentrate their efforts.

**Jeff Brinkley** (0:21)
Search dogs turn up clues, but tonight it remains untested evidence.

**Caroline Lowe** (0:25)
Where is she? Who knows something hasn't come forward?

**Jeff Brinkley** (0:29)
Caroline Lowe is in Tiffin, Iowa, with an update right now. Caroline?

**Caroline Lowe** (0:33)
Well, Amelia, tonight there's a stained silo door. Being a journalist, I know what gets covered, and that's why we do things like billboards, to try to get the attention.
We really wish we weren't here today. Twenty-three years later, what happened to Jodi is still a mystery.

**Kevin** (0:50)
You are watching News Channel 3 Daybreak. The time is 6 o'clock, 64 degrees, some light showers falling in North Iowa.

**Caroline Lowe** (0:57)
Jodi grew up in Minnesota, then she went to Mason City in 1993 to become reporter Morning Anchor.

**SPEAKER_3** (1:07)
This morning, our Morning Anchor 27-year-old Jodi Huisentruit apparently disappeared.

**Caroline Lowe** (1:13)
She was running late. It appeared that Jodi had been attacked from behind and then dragged away from her car and her stuff is scattered behind.

**Amy Coons** (1:21)
I called her and I talked to her. She was there. It sounded like I woke her up.
Her first question was, what time is it? I said, Jodi, it's 10 after 4 You need to come in.

**Caroline Lowe** (1:29)
That was the last contact anybody has had with Jodi.

**SPEAKER_3** (1:32)
It's been 38 hours now since anyone has spoken to Jodi Huisentruit.

**Robin Wolfram** (1:36)
Good evening, everyone. I had such a strange collision of emotions. Residents from all across North Iowa are in turn feeling the emotion and the desperation for Jodi's safe return. And I thought, I know her so well and all of these folks who are watching on TV right now feel like they really know her too. They had her in their home every morning and they loved her.

**Kevin** (1:59)
Way to go, Kevin.

**SPEAKER_9** (2:01)
She has a hard last name, Huisentruit.

**Ani Cruz** (2:03)
After the 27th of June, she's Jodi.

**Amy Coons** (2:06)
Doesn't need a last name anymore. She'll always be just Jodi.

**Caroline Lowe** (2:09)
The clock was ticking.

**Jim Axelrod** (2:14)
I'm John Shine from KIMT Television, Mason City, Iowa.

**Jeff Brinkley** (2:18)
We need your help.

**Jim Axelrod** (2:19)
One of our news anchors is missing.

**Robin Wolfram** (2:22)
It's been 42 hours since we last heard from our dear friend, Jodi.

**Caroline Lowe** (2:25)
There are lots and lots of theories.

**Joanne Nathy** (2:27)
How would you classify John Van Sice?

**Jack Schlieper** (2:30)
I would classify him as a friend.

**Caroline Lowe** (2:32)
Jodi spent more time with John Van Sice in the last month, that she was in Mason City than anybody that we know of. He said, I was the last person to see her.

**Robin Wolfram** (2:41)
I interviewed him the next day.

**Joanne Nathy** (2:42)
Have the police indicated whether or not you're a suspect?

**John Van Sise** (2:45)
No, they haven't given me any indication. They've interviewed me twice, but they haven't given me any indication I'm a suspect.

**Jack Schlieper** (2:50)
Is anybody live?

**Robin Wolfram** (2:52)
The Mason City Police said they're now concentrating their efforts on 12 people.

**Jack Schlieper** (2:55)
There's been no detainments. There's only been the people that have been interviewed.

**Joanne Nathy** (2:58)
It could be somebody we least expect.

**Jim Axelrod** (3:01)
Did she ever express concern that she was being stalked?

**Stacey Steinman** (3:05)
Yes.

**Jack Schlieper** (3:06)
Yeah. This case is not going to go away.
We've got a couple of investigators out.

**Stacey Steinman** (3:15)
You want to go back this way? These are phone-in tips, psychic leads.

**SPEAKER_17** (3:20)
We have never closed the case. It's never been a cold case for us.

**John Van Sise** (3:24)
It's been an act of investigation since it happened.

**Jim Axelrod** (3:27)
But we're 23 years in.

**SPEAKER_17** (3:29)
Right. I'm not ready to quit yet.

**Robin Wolfram** (3:31)
The more we keep this story alive, it might just unlock the puzzle.

**Caroline Lowe** (3:36)
I may be walking around with my cane and maybe in a wheelchair, but I am staying on this until we find Jodi. Somebody knows something.

**Sarah** (3:44)
Is it you?

**SPEAKER_19** (3:53)
I'm going to send things right back to the studio.

**Stacey Steinman** (3:56)
Thank you very much, Sarah.

**SPEAKER_3** (4:08)
