Welcome to The Panel, where founders talk about building a better business and a better life. I'm Justin Jackson, co-founder of Transistor.fm.

**Brian Casel** (0:18)
And I'm Brian Casel, founder of Builder Methods.

**Jordan Gal** (0:21)
And I'm Jordan Gal, founder at heyrosie.com, and feeling very comfortable without hosting duties. It's all you, Justin, all the pressures on you.

**Justin Jackson** (0:30)
All on me. Now, I want to know if you guys have been hearing about, well, you've heard about Jason Cohen's book, Hidden Multipliers, I'm sure.
A lot of people in our ecosystem have been talking about it. And I wonder if you've heard about these skills he included with the book.

**Brian Casel** (0:46)
I've heard about them, but I haven't had a chance to try them out.

**Jordan Gal** (0:50)
You were saying one in particular is very popular, called Find Your Carol. Is that like an ICP exercise?

**Justin Jackson** (0:56)
Yes, Find Your Carol. So this is so interesting. I think it'll be interesting for Jason, too, because he has multiple skills here. There's one called Find Yourself, Find Your Carol, Customer Interviews, Set Your Price. And then he has some standalone ones.
He has one called Rude Q&A, which is very on brand for Jason. He's okay with asking.

**Jordan Gal** (1:19)
Isn't that the title of his new podcast?

**Justin Jackson** (1:22)
Rude Q&A.
Yeah, I love that. Excuse me, is there a problem, positioning and the needs stack? So he has multiple skills included with this thing. They're all free. You can go to skills.asmartbear.com.
But the one that everyone's talking about, that I've heard people mention in slacks and in podcasts and everything, is Find Your Carol. And I just started doing it just before the call. And I can't believe how, like I'm not even that far through it. But even just the beginning, is it just says, explain what your business does in like three or four sentences. I find what's so interesting is just to see what it knows about your business already. And it has a very Jason kind of lens, so you install this as a skill and then just ask new questions.

**Jordan Gal** (2:26)
You don't have to prompt it.

**Justin Jackson** (2:28)
So here, it took me a while. Actually, I tried to install it the normal way. I got it installed via plugin. But then it goes, okay, here we're going to go. So just like, what does your company do in a sentence? Okay, my sentence does this, Transistor does podcast hosting and analytics. Okay, now it goes out and searches.
And then it starts to bring up what it thinks are the key things. With a very Joseph, sorry, a very Jason Cohen lens. Support is the single most praised thing. Best customer service I've ever experienced with any company ever.
So that's its number one. Unlimited shows under one subscription. Basically, in one, in two bullet points, it just outlined really our two major strengths.

**Brian Casel** (3:10)
I have a question.

**Jordan Gal** (3:11)
From the market point of view, this is what the market thinks of you, not what you think of yourself.

**Justin Jackson** (3:15)
That's right.

**Brian Casel** (3:16)
Yeah, that's my question is like, where is this research? Where does it go get its research?
Is it analyzing just the things that you've told it or answered it in the questions? Or is it going off and like searching the internet to find examples of things?

**Justin Jackson** (3:30)
Capterra, Trustpilot, Comparison Articles, yeah. So it's pulling a bunch of stuff. It pulls stuff from your competitors as well.
Now here's the interesting part. Is it, these are such Jason questions. They're like, support, reviewers repeatedly rank it as best in industry. Is that real from the inside? What specific evidence? Response times, who does the support? What policy, a moment, a customer call out, can you give? So it's like Jason is grilling you about, yeah. And I can see why people like it because, first of all, it's in private. You're not doing it on his podcast, getting grilled in public.

**Brian Casel** (4:17)
Which means you're probably being even more honest about these answers, which is, that's what you need to do.

**Justin Jackson** (4:22)
Yeah, these two here, do customers actually choose you for this and say so? And he's mentioned, the skills mentioning unlimited shows on one subscription.
So the fact that it's getting me to think about these things in kind of a safe space is really interesting. I'm curious to see where it kind of nets out. And yeah, so I'm just like...

**Brian Casel** (4:48)
I love skills, just as a design pattern for agent skills. I love this. I've seen it so many times. I do it in almost all the skills that I create for myself, building in an interview process for the agent to interview you.
