Good morning. Good morning.
**Tasia** (0:02)
Oh, come on, we can do a little bit better than that. Good morning.
Oh, y'all are nice and awake this morning. I like that. Listen, wanna welcome you to our 11 a.m. service. Grateful that you guys are here today. If you do not know who I am, if we have not yet had the pleasure of meeting, if this is your very first time, my name is Pastor Tasia. I am the worship pastor here at New Vision. Our lead pastor, that's the worship team. I paid them to do that. I told them I'm about to go out here. So no, but our lead pastor, Pastor Kevin, will be back next week. But for today, you're stuck with me. So because I'm the worship pastor, thank you. I appreciate that.
Because I'm the worship pastor, absolute shameless plug for the worship team. Listen, if you've been through Grow Track and you have gifts and talent, musical, I should clarify, musical gifts and talents, even if you're like, well, I play a little keys or I play a little of the bass or whatever it is, would love to have a conversation with you after service. Would love to, that's my band saying amen. So listen, I wanna encourage you for that. And again, we had an announcement for it, but Grow Track is starting up. So if you have not been through Grow Track, but you do have a desire, a call to be a part of the worship team, Grow Track is where it starts. So make sure that you get connected there. We also, baptisms, how many of you have been baptized in the room? Praise the Lord, look at that. I do see some hands that are not raised, which means, listen, if you have given your life to Jesus, baptism is your next step. And so I want to encourage you. There's a sign up sheet out in the lobby. Make sure that you go and sign up, get baptized. You can get baptized today, not today, I'm sorry. Nix that out of my notes, sorry. Lastly, Summer Nights, who was here last week, last Wednesday for Summer Nights?
So those making noise are cheaters. And we will be having a special prayer, a special response time for those who were on the yellow team, all right? So no, but Summer Nights was last Wednesday. Our next Summer Night is this upcoming Friday. And so we are renting out a water park, Belton Water Park. Make sure that you get your tickets today. Those are in the lobby. They're $2. $2, get your ticket if you show up on Friday, but you do not have a ticket. We cannot let you in. So make sure that you go get a ticket outside in the lobby today. Everybody say amen? All right, that's closed. Listen, we are in week six of stories we thought we knew. Who has enjoyed this series so far? Hey, everybody.
I've loved this series so much. It's been really great. Like, I grew up in church. And so as a kid, reading these stories now as an adult, I'm like, oh, that's a little bit more graphic than I remember. But it's been really great. The Lord has used it. I am so excited to tell our story today. Today, we are going to talk about Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.
Some of us, so this is what I learned this week as I was preparing. It is actually pronounced Abednego, not Abednego. That N is after the D. So anyway, that's a fun fact for today.
If you do not know the story of the Fiery Furnace and Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, don't worry, because my boy, Makai, is gonna tell us what happens in just a moment. But first, let's pray. Dear Jesus, God, we are thankful. We are grateful to be in your house this morning. We're grateful for an opportunity to be among your, in your presence and among your people. God, I pray that you would use this word today. Lord, that you would speak to us all in our own individual ways. Lord, that you would show up, Lord, in ways that only you can. God, that you would speak in ways that only you can. Lord, and that we would hear you and receive you, God, in a brand new way. Lord, we love you, we thank you, and in the matchless name of Jesus, we pray, amen.

Thousands of years ago, King Nebuchadnezzar built a golden statue and he had people bow down to it as a god. And Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were the only people that didn't bow down. And one of his soldiers told King Nebuchadnezzar that they weren't bowing. And before the people started bowing, he said that the people that didn't bow will be thrown in the Fier Furnace.
