Hello, everyone, and welcome back, another episode of The Panel Podcast.
We've got myself and Brian and a special guest. Let's kick things off. As always, I'm Jordan Gal, founder at heyrosie.com.
**Brian Casel** (0:23)
Yeah, good to be back.
Brian Casel, founder of Build Your Methods. And welcome, Henry.
**Henry Poydar** (0:29)
Thanks for having me, Henry Poydar, founder of Steady, runsteady.com.
**Brian Casel** (0:34)
All right.
**Jordan Gal** (0:34)
Henry's been on the podcast in the past. It's good to welcome him back.
**Henry Poydar** (0:37)
Thanks for having me again. Appreciate it.
**Jordan Gal** (0:40)
It's a beautiful summer Friday, and the end of the day for us here. So let's have some fun. Let's cover what's on our minds.
**Henry Poydar** (0:47)
That's right.
**Jordan Gal** (0:48)
A little bit of an agenda, but nothing too rigid.
**Brian Casel** (0:51)
It's been a few weeks. I know that Justin is still on vacation, so he'll probably be back probably next week.
But yeah, it's been a few weeks since we've been on the air. So I mean...
**Jordan Gal** (1:02)
Where have you been?
**Henry Poydar** (1:04)
What have you been up to?
**Brian Casel** (1:07)
Oh, I had a surgery two weeks ago, and I'm definitely in recovery mode right now, and the surgery went well, but definitely painful, and it's been an adventure, to say the least. Surgery, surgery.
**Jordan Gal** (1:23)
Well, good to hear that things went well, and hopefully in recovery.
**Brian Casel** (1:28)
Yeah, I'm limping around, you know, but I'm still working. You know what I've learned? This has always been the case for me. It's the compartmentalization of life and work. Because between the surgery, I also had like two weekends back to back, where me and Amy saw some pretty amazing concerts. We went out one weekend. We drove down to Philly and had a nice date night down there. We saw the band Death Cab for Cutie. That was a really, really good show.
And then in New York at Jones Beach, we saw Muse, that was last weekend, which is an incredible, incredible show. Beautiful venue.
Oh, Jones Beach is the best. I've been going there since I was a kid. You know, it's a beautiful outdoor theater, which is set on the water. So literally the stage comes out of the water. There's like boats that come up behind it and stuff.
**Henry Poydar** (2:20)
Yeah, great, great place. Yeah, good weather for that.
**Brian Casel** (2:23)
Beautiful weather.
**Jordan Gal** (2:25)
Yeah, I've been there at a concert when it rained. Not as much fun. Yeah. Well, I want to ask more about the compartmentalization, but let's catch up a little bit on my last few weeks and same with you, Henry, and then let's get into that and maybe some business updates and we'll tackle some timeline topics.
That's right. So I did not have surgery. I went to the beach for a week.
**Brian Casel** (2:51)
It looks like it on video. Yeah.
Yeah.
**Jordan Gal** (2:53)
I got some color, put some work in, beautiful outer banks, a lot of fun on the beach with the fam, a good time, and was reminded of how much I enjoy reading when I have them in it, and how many ideas come out of reading books. And another layer to that was more active conversations with AI.
So it went from like read the book, have an idea, write myself a note in Slack to look at later, and then realizing maybe I could just explore that idea actually, instead of holding it for later, and then going deeper. So it was like a kindle in one hand, my phone in the other with Claude open. It was kind of an interesting experience. We can get more into that. Just to make you feel a little bit better, Brian, I did not have surgery, but I went to a foot doctor today, and he used the word arthritic.
**Brian Casel** (3:49)
Okay.
That was the first time. I don't know if that's good or bad. That's not good.
**Jordan Gal** (3:54)
I was like, I'm sorry. What was that meant for me? Is there like a 70-year-old man behind me somewhere?
So, yep, here it goes. Meet me and my big right toe.
**Brian Casel** (4:04)
Okay.
**Jordan Gal** (4:05)
Yep. Yes. Henry, how about you? What have you been up to this summer?
**Henry Poydar** (4:08)
Yeah. So along the lines of arthritic, I guess.
**Brian Casel** (4:13)
Speaking of arthritic.
**Henry Poydar** (4:16)
I try and kind of, my philosophy with moving around and being physical and wellness and all that is to not put up a zero. That's like my thing. It's like, so every day, there's got to be something, even if it's just some jumping jacks or something. But I'm trying not to put up a zero.
