Hello, and welcome to SideQuest. This is our weekly video game show here at GeekVerse. I am your host, Dylan Mus, and I have with me the Gene Genie.
Travis, now, how are you doing tonight, my friend?

**Travis** (0:27)
I am doing well.
We are, it's a lot of big things. Spider-Man's coming up, we got GB Day coming up, summer is almost ending, but still good times to be had. So I'm doing well, my friend. How about you?

**Dylan Mus** (0:39)
Yeah, I'm doing pretty good. Had a nice weekend as well.
And excited for this year's SideQuest, gonna be a fun episode where we're talking about some Marvel stuff, we're gonna be talking about some of the games we've been playing in the form of 7 First Light, some Fallout news and then a couple other bells and whistles. So it should be a fun episode. I guess I should start with a quick programming note, which is that SideQuest, at least for like probably a month or two, is gonna be going like kind of every two weeks. We're gonna cut back a little bit on this in place. We're gonna do other episodes in place of it, but we just have a lot going on, on the main feed with other things like that. And honestly, I just to be completely candid, I've not really been playing a whole lot of new games. I'm pretty much just playing Hitman and you guys, like you know, you, Travis, Taylor, Kirklin, not really gaming a whole lot. So in terms of like the topics, it just feels like there's not really much for us to talk about week to week. And you know, we have like shows on a set basis, but we don't wanna just like phone it in and just like plop an episode out just to have something that's there. We wanna make sure that of course every episode we do is filled with that passion and intrigue and whatnot. And yeah, I think that we just need like a little slow down here on Sidequest until like the just absolute barrage that's gonna happen in the fall of all the games coming out. Probably kicking it off with like Wolverine, the review which we're gonna talk about, you know, that in a little bit here with the new trailer that came out. So yeah, it was probably honestly only for like a month, month and a half, maybe two months or something like that. So probably only gonna miss like two or three, what would be regular Sidequest episodes. We'll still have one next week, I think, and then after that is maybe when we'll skip a week after that. But then again, I gotta look at like the when games come is because we'll definitely do an episode after that. If there's any big news that drops, we'll do an episode.
And if we just feel like it, if we just end up having like a lot of games we want to talk about, we'll just do an episode anyway. So it's not like a big deal or anything. But yeah, just a quick program for everyone. Keep an eye on that. Of course, subscribe to the feeds. But yeah, if there's an episode missing in a week, don't worry about it. We'll be back the week after.

**Travis** (2:43)
Yeah, no, it's one of those things. I feel like it's also the calm before the storm because yeah, we got Wolverine. But I feel like no one's going to be buying too much new because we're all preparing for that GTA nuke, right? Not only just like money-wise, I just know that's going to be like the big time sink and everything.
And that always happens to me near the end of summer. It's like I got the girls home and then always around GV day because that's been most of my stuff is editing that stuff. But yeah, no, we'll plan it out. And then that's why if you follow us on Patreon, usually those posts are free access as well. But we do put the schedule out every week, so we can look and see what's going on. And yeah, we'll be back. Sometimes we're behind on news and stuff. So it's good to kind of fluctuate and see what's going on.

**Dylan Mus** (3:20)
So yeah, I mean, like back a few months ago when Xbox, well, they were not in a great place, but at least they weren't totally in this shitty spiral there and now and Game Pass was more affordable and I was subscribed on there and that gave me a ton of great Sidequest content because I always talk about new games or old games and just since that's like kind of prohibitively expensive now and I'm not on there. Unfortunately, it takes away a lot of what was nice, juicy content. I'm talking about new games and stuff. Honestly, looking at my list, like we talked about this on the recent newscast, someone asked us to rank all the movies we've seen this year. I'm like, I've seen six movies this year. I think I've maybe played less games, like new games this year, which is rare for me. Normally, I'm cranking out like 40 or 50, sometimes 60 new games in a year. That is not the case this year, and I'm probably going to pick up like three or four more year, like in the rest of the year, if that even. So yeah, I don't know, just one of those years for me, just doing other things, busy with other stuff and just, again, playing a fucked on Hitman, which is kind of all I want to do right now. And I'm sitting in front of my consoles looking for something to play. So these things happen, you know?
