What's up, everyone? Welcome to the 732nd episode of the Pokemon Podcast. It's super effective. I'm your host, Steve. With me is Bobby. I don't know what's funny.

**Bobby** (0:29)
After our riveting talk about cars in last week's bonus episode, I woke up the following morning and went to a car show, and then I woke up the following morning and went to another car show, and I've just been all cars all weekend, and I'm going to blame it on the bonus episode from last week.

**Steve Sarumi** (0:47)
And then you went golfing, and then you bought a foldable phone.

**Bobby** (0:52)
Living the life.

**Steve Sarumi** (0:55)
Austin also here.

**Austin** (0:58)
You know, I've just been playing a lot of Splatoon Raiders. Spoilers, we were recording this episode like two days after the last one, so...

**Bobby** (1:07)
Have we ever done this before, recorded an episode the same day the episode came out, like the last episode came out?

**Steve Sarumi** (1:13)
I think we've ever recorded on a Monday.

**Bobby** (1:15)
Yes, that's not true.

**Steve Sarumi** (1:16)
We recorded on Friday.

**Austin** (1:19)
Right.

**Bobby** (1:19)
So it's three days.

**Steve Sarumi** (1:21)
Yeah. And then... So it's not like the next day.

**Austin** (1:24)
Well, I'm still playing Splatoon.

**Steve Sarumi** (1:26)
Okay. Write that down, write that down.
Fantastic. All right. Here's our episode for you guys today. We are recording a little bit early because by the time this episode comes out, I might still just assume that I'm busy over the weekend. Whether or not I'm still live on Twitch, just think I'm busy.

**Bobby** (1:48)
Oh, happy belated birthday when this comes out. But happy early birthday when we're recording this.

**Steve Sarumi** (1:55)
Well, I get the best of both worlds.

**Bobby** (1:57)
Crazy.

**Steve Sarumi** (2:00)
Okay. Episode is there's some new play Pokémon Prizes, a little bit of GO news, a little bit of sleep news. I know we didn't talk about Nap Island last week. And part of that was because all of us still had Pokémon that were still napping. Like once you nap, you can't really do anything. So we kind of were waiting until those were done. They're done now. The Pokemon Center in Mega Tokyo is going to reopen.
And then we talked about last week. Okay, we've talked about this in like two parts. One part was how there might be facial recognition for buying cards in Japanese stores. And last week, we talked about how the government, a certain part of the government in Japan wants to regulate cards.
There's a whole new thing here, which is more face. We're getting I think we're getting very close to them trying to solve a problem that maybe they may or may not have an answer to. There's an update to that. We're gonna talk about that again.
And then for our bonus segment for our for our Patreon or Apple Podcast listeners, there is a bakery collab for Pokeopia in Japan. But worry not. There's rumors that Pokemon is coming to Krispy Kreme. So our bonus segment is all donuts and sweets.

**Austin** (3:20)
My favorite.

**Bobby** (3:22)
Yeah.

**Steve Sarumi** (3:22)
Five dollars.

**Bobby** (3:23)
The best kind of bonus.

**Steve Sarumi** (3:26)
We'll get you. Actually, it's less than five dollars. If you're listening to this the week it came out, then the Patreon is on sale right now. So patreon.com/pkmncst.
If you would like to hear the bonus segments and last week's bonus and the week before that and the future bonus for five dollars, you also get ad free viewing.

**Bobby** (3:44)
So wow. And with the discount, that means you can take the money you saved and go buy donuts.

**Steve Sarumi** (3:49)
That's true. How much do you think one donut is costing you in like at like a non-franchisey place?

**Austin** (4:00)
Two fifty three bucks.

**Steve Sarumi** (4:02)
Okay.

**Bobby** (4:03)
Three bucks. I was thinking closer to five these days.

**Steve Sarumi** (4:06)
For one donut?

**Bobby** (4:09)
It depends on the donut.

**Austin** (4:10)
What kind of donut are we getting though?

**Steve Sarumi** (4:12)
I don't know. I mean, my local place is-

**Austin** (4:14)
I'm going chocolate sprinkles.

**Steve Sarumi** (4:16)
Oh, I'm going just vanilla. I'm going vanilla sprinkles.

**Bobby** (4:20)
Oh, I think I'm just going like glazed.

**Steve Sarumi** (4:23)
Oh, glazed. I like a long John. No filling though.

**Bobby** (4:29)
Okay. I used to like jelly donuts a lot.

**Austin** (4:31)
I'm not a big fan of the filling. Let's talk about this later in the bonus episode.

**Steve Sarumi** (4:36)
We're giving away the bonus for free. No.
