**Steve Sarumi** (0:15)
What's up, everyone? Welcome to the 714th episode of the Pokémon Champions Podcast. I'm your host, Steve. With me is Bobby.
**Bobby** (0:24)
Hello. I know it's the Pokémon Champions Podcast now, but I do want to say that I did hit credits in Pokopia, and I'm about 60 hours in now, so.
**Steve Sarumi** (0:34)
All right, Austin, also here.
**Austin** (0:36)
I have also hit credits in Pokémon Pokopia, and that was about 80 hours, I think, when I hit it.
**Steve Sarumi** (0:43)
OK, all right. Is that is that our bonus segment is us talking about the credits?
**Bobby** (0:48)
Could be. Yeah, that sounds like cool.
**Steve Sarumi** (0:51)
So you have to you have to sign up for a Patreon to hear our thoughts on the bonus credits. This also helps, too, because then somebody can't also accidentally be spoiled.
**Bobby** (0:59)
There you go.
**Austin** (1:00)
That's true.
**Bobby** (1:00)
Yep, that's good.
**Austin** (1:01)
You have to want to be spoiled.
**Steve Sarumi** (1:03)
You have to. You have to yearn for the spoiling.
So there has been a lot of Champions news that has come out. If you did not see, I was invited to Bellevue, Washington, by the Pokemon Company International. Here's my disclosure. I guess they paid for my flight and my hotel, and I played Champions not last week, but the week before, whatever, Monday and Tuesday, I didn't stream on Twitch. I had to sit on that information. The embargo lifted this past Wednesday, and then funny enough, they had Champions playable at PAX on Thursday, which seemed to be a much more controlled experience than what I played.
**Bobby** (1:54)
Okay, got it. They also did a trailer, or they also gave us a bunch of information on Tuesday of last week as well.
**Steve Sarumi** (2:00)
Yeah, so the day before the embargo lifted, they released a six-minute trailer. So we do have a lot of Champions news. Champions is free to start. So I would assume that a lot of people would be playing it. So again, a lot of Champions news this episode. And then if there's any, there's really not a lot of other news. It's not like Pokopia got an update or anything. It's TCG Pocket got its stuff. The Latias of Latios. Is it Los or?
**Bobby** (2:28)
Los.
**Steve Sarumi** (2:29)
Los.
**Bobby** (2:29)
Los. Latias.
**Steve Sarumi** (2:34)
They start tomorrow.
**Bobby** (2:36)
Does it?
**Steve Sarumi** (2:37)
Or does it start one more week? I can't remember.
**Bobby** (2:39)
I thought it started in April.
**Steve Sarumi** (2:41)
Oh yeah, you're right. So I think this week is a week of nothing and sleep.
**Bobby** (2:45)
Yes.
**Steve Sarumi** (2:46)
Cause they do the skill week, week of nothing. And then two weeks of the legendary. Nothing really happening in sleep. Not that we've been purposely avoiding GO. But like nothing very exciting happening in GO, just like the same whole events.
**Austin** (3:01)
Yeah.
**Bobby** (3:02)
Yeah. Did you both get your Gigantamax Pikachu?
**Steve Sarumi** (3:05)
No.
**Austin** (3:05)
I did. I got my Shiny.
**Bobby** (3:07)
Nice.
**Steve Sarumi** (3:08)
How many did it take?
**Austin** (3:09)
Eight. Oh, okay.
**Bobby** (3:11)
That's not bad.
**Austin** (3:11)
Yeah. I feel like it was pretty good.
**Bobby** (3:13)
Yeah. I didn't get...
**Austin** (3:15)
And for some reason, every raid I joined had like 80 people in it.
**Steve Sarumi** (3:19)
Okay.
**Austin** (3:19)
I don't know how that works, because those places definitely don't have 80 people in person playing.
**Steve Sarumi** (3:24)
A lot of remotes?
**Austin** (3:26)
Probably.
**Bobby** (3:26)
Yeah. Were you playing locally?
**Austin** (3:29)
Yeah. The raids I joined were local, yeah. Okay.
**Bobby** (3:32)
Who knows? Yeah. Remote raids, I guess.
**Austin** (3:34)
There was a lot of people in there. I was surprised.
**Steve Sarumi** (3:36)
Well, Gigantamax can go up to what, 100 now?
**Bobby** (3:39)
Yeah.
**Steve Sarumi** (3:40)
And then Dynamax is still four. I was just like, whatever, I guess.
**Bobby** (3:46)
I guess. When you get the Dynamax legendaries, though, it's a little bit like, oh, I'm four.
**Austin** (3:50)
Yeah, they do get a little tricky. It's like, I would like some more, but...
**Bobby** (3:54)
But that's okay. That's part of the challenge, I guess.
**Steve Sarumi** (3:57)
Champions is out. Let's dive into some news.
I really don't know where you two want to start here. There has been some interviews. There was that six-minute trailer. There's the Japanese website revealed pricing, but the English website did not.
**Bobby** (4:17)
Standard. Yeah, no. I mean, I guess we could start. We could start talking just a little bit about your experience because you literally played it. So, I mean, I know you put a video out about it, but yeah, we could kind of start there and then just kind of go from there.
