There's a story in here that says, what's going to happen that the moment Democrats own the majority, what their plans are next. I don't know if you saw that story or not.
**SPEAKER_4** (0:40)
All the investigation.
**SPEAKER_3** (0:42)
Democrats put Trump's corruption front and center as they plan possible 2027 probes, political. Let me read, let me get the student and I'm going to kind of tell you what I think is going to be happening here and how big of a mistake it could be. So Democrats haven't won the House majority yet, but top party leaders are already preparing an overnight campaign, oversight campaign, targeting President Trump and his family and his administration. Should they flip the chamber in November at the center, California representative Robert Garcia poised to lead the oversight committee and Maryland representative Jamie Raskin in line for judiciary. Both are planning to use their potential families, gavels on controversies like Trump's acceptable of a Qatari jet for use as Air Force One and his family's massively profitable cryptocurrency investments.
And both say they have a long list of administration officials to probe. The theme is deliberate, put Trump's corruption front and center rather than relitigating the old impeachment grievances. Committee leaders say they're staying focused on the president and the family. Tom, I have a lot of thoughts on this. Do you think this is a good strategy and do you think they're actually going to do that if they gain power?
**SPEAKER_5** (1:50)
So if they gain power, the first thing they're going to do in February 4th, we have the date, when they all get sworn in, when they all get sworn in and they officially have the gavels as they say, so they'll get sworn in the gavels. Do I think they're going to do this for a year and a half going into the election because they want to win the election? Yeah, I don't think they can help themselves. I think this is where they're going to go. I don't think they give a damn about the average American voter. Honestly, American citizen, if they did, they wouldn't have set up the immigration that they did. I think it's terrible because it's going to start a perpetual pendulum. Every one of our presidents is going to get investigated left, right and center for anything they've done.
You burped without saying, excuse me when you're in college, we're going to investigate that. Then at the end of it, you know what's going to happen? They're all going to pardon their entire families and all these preemptive pardons.
Peru, how many of the last six presidents of Peru have been indicted for corruption and gone to jail?
**SPEAKER_4** (2:58)
Peru?
**SPEAKER_5** (2:58)
Yes.
**SPEAKER_4** (2:59)
All of them.
**SPEAKER_5** (3:00)
Six.
**SPEAKER_4** (3:00)
Yeah.
**SPEAKER_5** (3:01)
So it's like everybody and I think and I'm not being funny, Pat. We can look this up. I think we're heading toward that kind of a thing where suddenly the debate in the barbershop has been replaced by absolute, you know, you know, anger at each other and absolute fire. And now we're going to have politics where it's a game of, okay, my turn. Ah, I got the house. I've got the committees. I've got the gavels. Okay. My turn. And we're going to go back and forth and back and forth. I think it's terrible.
**SPEAKER_1** (3:31)
There's something that has never been said in this coverage and explains why they're doing this.
As James Carville, in the spirit of James Carville, it's the money's stupid. These people are massively in debt. When I came out and said in 2024, they were tens of millions in debt, they actually issued a press release saying that I was a liar. Turns out months later, when they had to file the FEC report, guess what? They said they were $20 million in debt. I was telling the truth, obviously. And they are so in debt, I kid you not. They put their own headquarters up as collateral for a loan. They are hundreds of millions of dollars behind the Republican National Committee. These people desperately need money in advance of 2028 And that's where they're going to do this, because otherwise their base will not give. That's the deans. They are addicted to Trump. I don't know what they're going to do when Trump leaves the scene, because frankly, Marco Rubio, JD. Vance, they don't incite the same type of anger. And Orange Man Bad is their entire fundraising machine. You think that Kamala Harris is such a talent that she somehow managed to raise $2.5 billion in seven weeks. Let me tell you, I know the woman. She's not talented.
