Lynn (0:10)

This is Unnis on Oppas, a fan podcast where we talk about Korean dramas, and the actresses and actors that are in Korean dramas, most especially the leading men of Kdramas, also known as our Kdrama boyfriends, also known as Oppas.

Susie (0:24)

We are your metaphorical big sisters, aka Unnis. I am Susie.

Lynn (0:30)

And I am Lynn. And before we start the business of the episode, we like to take a moment to reflect on something or someone that has made it possible for us to be here today. So, Susie, in this episode, to whom would you like to say, jama kismida.

Susie (0:45)

I would like to say thank you to It's A Repeat, as always, friendship time. I do love when sort of unexpected friendship time happens. You know, it's nice to know that you have something planned with somebody and then you can like look forward to it, you know, kind of thing. Like that is nice too. But it's also nice when it's like not expected and you suddenly are like, oh, this is like extra time that we didn't expect to have. And so I would like to thank friendships that this weekend I was able to like hang out with some friends because somebody was like, hey, I happen to be free today. I didn't think I was going to be. But if y'all want to come and just like hang out, eat some cheese and also do some crafts or whatnot and just chat. So that's what I did the other night and it was really just a nice time. Something that you didn't plan on doing, but then it's fun and it's just relaxing and it's just like a nice diversion from stuff that's going on.

I just really enjoyed that and it was a nice break from the podcast homework that I was doing. So that was good too. Therefore, I am fresh as a daisy. Today, to bring this podcast to you, all listeners.

Lynn (2:26)

I was going to say, Susie looks so fresh, like a daisy.

Susie (2:31)

Lies. I am so haggard.

Lynn (2:37)

Well, I think mine is sort of even more nebulous than that. I just really want to thank Autumn, because it is my favorite time of year. And where I live, it is like legit autumn now. I mean, we had, you know, a decent transition from summer into autumn here during September. But now when we're recording, it is October and the leaves are turning. And it's just my most favorite time of year, even though I'm real allergic to the molds that come out in autumn.

But, you know, I'm on Benadryl all the time anyway, so I might as well enjoy the weather that's making my nose run. So thanks, autumn.

Susie (3:20)

Oh my gosh. Also, hi, this is a conversation that like came up last night, but are you having shortage of apples this year? Is you?

Not here.

Lynn (3:32)

No, last year was crazy for like, last year we literally had no apples on some of our trees. Okay. But this year is more normal.

But not crazy amounts, but a normal amount.

Susie (3:46)

Where I'm living, so our area definitely has a shortage of apples this year. There's barely any apple cider in the grocery stores. There's also, I heard like the farmers markets are allowing farmers to like sell purchased apples instead of like apples from their own farms, because of there's no apples here.

And like apple picking season is supposed to be now, but then like, I think they're all gone, all the apples. There's no apples to pick kind of thing. So, yeah, I was like, wow, I didn't know that there was this problem. That's kind of nuts. So anyway, just wondering if how your apples are faring this year. Yeah.

Lynn (4:36)

Yeah. No, we're, we're doing, I mean, we have plenty for our like personal needs and then some.

Susie (4:43)

Good.

Lynn (4:44)

But yeah, last year was, was crazy sparse for us. Like we could count the apples that we got from all of our trees, like on our fingers and toes. Whoa.

Susie (4:57)

Yeah.

Lynn (4:58)

Whomp, whomp. Yeah, I do love apple season, although it is a lot of work for me. Anywho. So it has been, I don't know, like five weeks since we recorded a catch up. It's been a while because we did not record a catch up when we recorded the sort of part three of our Village Barber reviews. So the last catch up we did was Cha Eun Woo, which as we're recording this, that episode has already been released, which is unusual for us. We're usually further ahead than that.
