September 22, 2026
Will this be the Unnis’ most popular episode ever? Only time will tell, but this oppa is undoubtedly one of the most popular in Dramaland. We discussed Cha Eun Woo’s performances in True Beauty, Island, Wonderful World, Rookie Historian Goo Rae Gyeong, and more.

This is Unnis on Oppas, a fan podcast where we discuss Korean dramas and the actors and actresses that are in Korean dramas, most especially the leading men of Kdramas, also known as our Kdrama boyfriends, also known as Oppas.
Susie (0:24)
And we are your metaphorical big sisters, aka Unnis. I am Susie.
Lynn (0:30)
And I am Lynn. And before we start our episodes, we'd like to pause for a moment and reflect in gratitude on someone or something that has made it possible for us to be here today. So Susie, in this episode, to whom would you like to say, I would like to thank maintenance people.
Yeah.
Susie (0:52)
I would like to thank those who come to your rescue when there's something wrong with your house.
And it is late on a Friday afternoon. And you're supposed to be somewhere, but you can't leave your house until this gets resolved. Anyway, I had a key stuck in my lock. And it was devastating because I was really looking forward to this outing with some friends. And as I was leaving, this happened. And so I had to figure it out and get the maintenance person from my building to come, which I wasn't sure they were going to come in any timely manner, you know, or at all. So I was already like, do I need to get a locksmith? You know, that kind of thing. So already Googling, like, who's the fastest they could get here? I don't know.
Lynn (1:55)
But they did come.
Susie (1:57)
They did fix it. And I was also not too late to my outing. So it all worked out. And therefore I am here not having a key dangling outside of my door and just can't concentrate on this podcast because I'm like, I don't know if somebody's going to come in my apartment.
Lynn (2:17)
Any second now! Yikes. Oh my gosh.
That would be horrible.
Susie (2:24)
What a, what a exciting time. But I would rather not.
Lynn (2:31)
Yeah.
Well, I would expect that the people who handle such situations, you know, having your key stuck in the lock that you can't get out of, would be a fairly urgent situation. Like they're going to prioritize that over some other things. So there is something to be said for if you have an emergency, it's an actual urgent emergency. The only two times in my life that I have locked my keys in my car, also the key was, the car was running. Both of those times. No! Oh no! I mean, obviously, like, I was very out of it, right? If you can, like. Right. Yeah. And my current car, like, I couldn't even do, you know, I mean, that was obviously 22 years ago, because you can't even do that nowadays.
But yeah, and I'll tell you what, in the same vein, AAA comes really fast if you tell them that your keys are locked in your running car.
Susie (3:39)
Oh, goodness.
Lynn (3:40)
Take that as you will.
Susie (3:42)
Yeah.
Lynn (3:44)
Well, we have thanked the good people of drama being so many times for their thanks with recaps, but I would especially like to thank the recappers or whoever makes the decision to do full recaps rather than many recaps.
Susie (4:03)
Yeah.
Lynn (4:03)
Because there were a number of dramas that I needed to review for this week, and at first, I was like, oh, this is so great, because they're all on drama beans. And then when I actually went to read them, a lot of them were very, very, like the True Beauty recaps barely even mentioned the peripheral characters. Like the whole Insignia, Oishi romance gets hardly any mention in here. There's such like 20,000 feet recaps.
That was like, well, that's not actually that helpful because you're not reminding me of all the things that happened, which is what I need.
Susie (4:45)
Right.
Lynn (4:48)
So thanks to, and I realize how much work it is. Like it is so much work to record every detail of these episodes. So I'm really grateful for the time put in and the other dramas. I probably just don't remember as well because, although I did watch something surprising this past week, but first I'll ask you, Susie, what, well, we recorded last week, recorded a bonus episode last week, but we did not include a ketchup. So this is like a month's worth of ketchup, I think, that we're pouring over the hot dog of this episode. So Susie, what have you been watching since the last time we did a ketchup?
Susie (5:31)
Well, friends, if you're again expecting a plethora of things, sorry to disappoint you. This is again one of the like shortest ones that I will ever do. Because I only watch one thing because of stuff, circumstances, life, things again, mishaps. I had a TV mishap that really cramped my style.
