I would like and love to thank people who negotiate contracts. Oh boy. Because if like long time listeners would know that one of my biggest gripes about viewing, which is like a super privileged thing, please ignore that. But it's still annoying that, you know, I have a Samsung Smart TV.
And for some reason, Vicky did not have a contract with them.

Right, right.

**Susie** (1:25)
And was not on one of the apps that you could add to there. So whenever I want to watch Vicky, I have to either do it on my TV in my room, which I try not to watch too much TV in the room.

**Lynn** (1:43)
Yeah.

That's really for emergencies.

**Lynn** (1:45)
For televised emergencies.

**Susie** (1:51)
And then, so I would have to watch it on my computer or cast it to the TV in the living room from my computer or device or whatever. So and that's like, sometimes it's dicey, sometimes it was like, lately it would be like after every episode, it would disconnect. So I would have to re-cast every time I get to a new episode. And that's like, just like super annoying. So I haven't been watching things on Viki for a while. I'll try it, try to find it on another platform. And I miss the Viki subbers, which is a bummer. And like, this is a problem of my own doing, really. Like, please. It's not like I couldn't, but I just did not want to have the hassle. Anyway, the, I was like, peak in peak annoyance, like some weeks ago when I was like, you know what? I have not checked recently, if perhaps now in some, after some updates, they would have renegotiated this contract considering how Kdramas, Cdramas are so big now internationally. Like surely something, maybe, I don't know. You guess what? They did. They did renegotiate because there it was. Vicky was on my Now Smart TV. I didn't feel it was very smart before. Now it's super smart because Vicky is there. Yeah, so I've been re-enjoying Vicky content now. Thank you very much those who have negotiated that contract to get Vicky back on Samsung TV.
To my personal viewing, a non-hassled enjoyment.
Sorry, that was so privileged. That whole thing, I should not be complaining about any of those things, but here we are.
I'm just thankful that someone thought it was annoying enough that I should have Vicky on my channel.

Right. I mean, I am 100 percent certain that you were not the only person affected by that. And the fact that Samsung is a Korean company, you would have thought that it would be more obvious that they would want to be promoting Asian content. But there's all kinds of behind the scenes machinations. And I mean, if we want to really get into it, this whole podcast is a podcast of privilege. Like, it's about things that we spent our leisure time doing. So, you know.

Anyway, what about you, Lynn?

Well, I will first say I was, you told me when that happened several weeks ago, and I was super excited for you because I knew what a thorn in your side that had been to not be able to easily watch the, you know, Vicky content on your main viewing place. So, congratulations. I have a very surprising one that I just discovered today when I went to locate the scene that I was looking for in Death's Game, I discovered that on the latest update of the Prime Video app that's on my phone, they have now added, I mean, not global speed, but added like they have on the Netflix app, the ability to watch at different paces, right, which I really, really wish I had realized before I watched the recent drama that I watched on Prime.

So here's the trade-off.

So I have this older fire tablet that if I'm watching something on Prime, I've talked about this on the podcast before, I always download everything so that I don't get all the ads just to stick it to Bezos a little bit. And but it doesn't, those two things don't coexist. Like you can either download it. Oh, no.
