Jim Cornette (1:00)
Hello again, everybody, and welcome to a thrill-packed edition of The Jim Cornette Experience, where today, we are gonna have nothing but fun, because there's been too much sadness in wrestling lately. And so today, we're gonna have so much fun. They're gonna have to wipe the smile off our faces with a sledgehammer or a sandblaster, whichever tool you prefer. And joining me, the king of Black and Decker himself, Hawaiian Brian, the podcasting lion, king of the Arcadian Vanguard Podcast Network, Mr. Co-Ost to you.
What are you, a funny guy? Are you funny? The Great Brian Last, everybody.
Brian Last (1:37)
Aloha, Jim. A pleasure to be here once again for what you're promising to be a funny edition of this show, for once.
Jim Cornette (1:45)
Well, it depends on how you... For what? Hey! I just caught that. It was a depth charge.
We're usually entertaining, if not outright comical. But today, it depends on your definition of funny, because funny can be funny haha, or funny can be, well, that was really fucking weird. And we're going to hit one of them, because I've done no prep. I have a stack of papers here. I've got a giant list right here of things that I've jotted down that we should talk about, but I've put no order to this piece, because it's just been, it's been sad the past couple of weeks around the wrestling business. And a different definition of sad than usual, because usually wrestling is pretty sad these days. But so I thought we would just pick out some things at random, it's classic wrestling, a little bit of current stuff, some current events, ironic happenings, things of that nature.
You could feel free to, do you have a neighborhood newsletter you'd like to read from Brian up there? I know they got a neighborhood circular online that you've told me about, where they warn you about the Bears.
Brian Last (3:07)
You left out desk drumming.
Jim Cornette (3:12)
Well, I get excited.
You know, and J Sharknado has the nerve to complain about my, my rhythmic desk drum. I'm a passionate guy.
Brian Last (3:24)
The word rhythmic never came into it. The word rhythmic never, ever, ever came into it.
Jim Cornette (3:29)
It never was mentioned. It was profanities. Well, I mean, here's the, should, what should I do? Should I put some bubble wrap on the desk? Because I make points and I'm animated. I'm a, an animated type of person, almost cartoon.
Brian Last (3:44)
How would you do with like one of those stress balls? Like instead of hitting something, you have something to squeeze that can't pop.
Jim Cornette (3:51)
Well, what do you mean? Like one of the pimples I used to have when I was 16?
I don't, the squeezing isn't the same as actually striking something, with some level of violent intent. I'll try to, I'll just ruffle my papers. You think you'll get mad if I ruffle my papers?
Brian Last (4:10)
No, no, no. I think that's within fair game.
Jim Cornette (4:13)
Show me your papers. Um, I, you know, we have, and we've talked about this on the show before, one of the most varied and unique audiences. There, we have incredibly intelligent, informed listeners. We have listeners that have been involved in major historic events that they write us in, talk about from time to time. We have just listeners that have been with us since the start, like Charlie from Starkville or old John Fell in Baltimore. Still black and blue over that.
And some names that we recognize. And they always have some good things to say. And so we're going to share a few of the viewer mail comments that we've had here recently. Because our friend Stuart Busby, from over in Northampton, UK, you remember Stuart and Stuart has three of the cutest little puppies that he is. And he sends me a picture of him with them every time that he sends me an email. And he is the one who sent me some dog treats and toys and sticks for Alfred and Buddy a few weeks back. And for my birthday, he sent me not only a DVD, which I have already started watching, but famous, not famous monsters, but Universal Monsters, these commemorative coins in this little binder for Frankenstein and Dracula and the Mummy, and sent Stace for her birthday a DVD and had also a present in there from Puppy Treats for Buddy and Alfred. But he also enclosed a package for you, Brian. And I have already addressed that to you and handed it off to Hotchkiss Featherbottom to mail. And you're going to be getting a gift in the mail from Stewart eminently. And I, I, he didn't say what it was and I didn't ask. But I think it's a clock because it was ticking.
