Episode 63
**SPEAKER_3** (0:24)
Morning, morning, morning.
**SPEAKER_4** (0:25)
Morning.
**Christine Thom** (0:27)
And it is morning.
**SPEAKER_5** (0:28)
Yeah, it's a beautiful one as well.
**SPEAKER_6** (0:30)
I didn't think it was gonna be this hot today, but it is warm.
**SPEAKER_7** (0:32)
It's another hot one.
**SPEAKER_5** (0:33)
It's another sweaty, sweaty lip and sticky thighs.
**Vic Dunn** (0:39)
I was watching a social media broadcast the other day, and someone said, I put talc in me thighs and now I've got paste.
**SPEAKER_5** (0:47)
Didn't someone say they could make a cake?
**SPEAKER_8** (0:49)
No.
**SPEAKER_9** (0:51)
You could probably point the house with it, couldn't you?
**SPEAKER_10** (0:54)
Hold on, love. I can see a gap. So I wear snag, the snag shorts, because they're like very thin, thin tights, but they're not like tights, but they are tights.
**SPEAKER_9** (1:04)
Like skinny bloomers?
**SPEAKER_10** (1:06)
Yeah, but I don't give a shit. I mean, if I got run over by an ambulance, they'd probably go, but I don't care because I cannot stand my thighs touching in the summer.
**SPEAKER_6** (1:15)
Oh no. Even just, even if I'm just sat, and they fell out.
**SPEAKER_11** (1:20)
No.
**SPEAKER_6** (1:21)
It's nasty. That's why I've been sleepy.
**SPEAKER_11** (1:24)
It's like, she's been sleeping there because she's very tired. Yes, thank you.
**SPEAKER_9** (1:28)
And I'm having to put the quilt between my legs because I don't like the legs touching.
**SPEAKER_10** (1:33)
Yeah, because you're hot. It's horrible. It's not nice. Yeah. And I, what worries me is that over the last week, because it has been ridiculously unbearable, that I think most people are sleeping naked. And if we had a disaster, we'd have lots of naked people in the street.
Get me back to that.
**SPEAKER_12** (1:52)
The problem is, is that every time I hear the puppy yelp and you've got to go downstairs, you go, quick, get it outside before it poos.
**SPEAKER_13** (1:58)
And you're like, you're completely naked, I'm gonna put a t-shirt on. Came down in the middle of the night, in the night, no pants and just t-shirt in the back garden.
**SPEAKER_7** (2:07)
So, don't, I'm away.
**Vic Dunn** (2:09)
It's like, oh, what's my life become?
**SPEAKER_5** (2:11)
Yep.
**SPEAKER_6** (2:13)
But he's very cute. He is very cute.
**SPEAKER_10** (2:15)
He's got a gorgeous face.
**SPEAKER_5** (2:17)
He's like that, hello.
**SPEAKER_10** (2:18)
I came to him this morning though, and he hid under my dress.
**SPEAKER_4** (2:23)
Yeah.
**SPEAKER_3** (2:23)
He went up the North Mountain.
**SPEAKER_4** (2:25)
He was looking at me slack tight.
**SPEAKER_8** (2:28)
And then he came out the other side, because I'm wearing a black dress, he just looked like a nun.
**SPEAKER_3** (2:31)
He did. He was brilliant. He looked like a little Eastern European widow.
**SPEAKER_14** (2:35)
He did.
**SPEAKER_5** (2:36)
Would you like some turnip soup? Cabbage soup. Cabbage soup.
**SPEAKER_10** (2:41)
Yeah.
**SPEAKER_15** (2:41)
But yes, it's been very, very hot.
**SPEAKER_9** (2:43)
Have you all dealt with the heat in this?
**SPEAKER_11** (2:45)
I don't think anyone has to be worried.
**SPEAKER_5** (2:48)
It's not nice, is it?
**SPEAKER_10** (2:50)
It's worrying, because that's potentially our summers. But it's, it's, it's when you can't sleep at night, it's the worst anyway, because then you've, as women, we've just got to get up and just fucking get on with shit. But it's just so uncomfortable because you toss and turn in and then you pull the cover off, pull the cover on. Then the fan's pissing you off because it's making you learn to noise. If you leave your windows open and then obviously you don't normally even a jar and the noises wake you up. And it's all just a bit shit.
**SPEAKER_13** (3:17)
Yeah. And then you try to find a hot, a cool piece of bed and you can't.
**SPEAKER_16** (3:21)
No. So I went for a wee and I came back and I went, my bed is hot.
**SPEAKER_6** (3:26)
Am I that hot?
**SPEAKER_10** (3:28)
I mean, I have been going for a cool shower before night and it does help.
**SPEAKER_16** (3:32)
Yeah.
**SPEAKER_10** (3:32)
But it has to be like sort of, not sort of Wim Hof, sort of cold. No. But, you know, cold enough to go like that.
**SPEAKER_12** (3:42)
Yeah, I build up to that.
**SPEAKER_9** (3:43)
Yeah. And then you go and turn it slightly.
**SPEAKER_10** (3:45)
Cool for 30 seconds and then he comes over.
**SPEAKER_12** (3:49)
I remember years ago when I went to Barbados, this is before the mug, and we stayed in this really nice hotel and it was so hot.
