Hi, guys, it's Tony Robbins. You're listening to Habits and Hustle. Crush it.
Jennifer Cohen (0:06)
Welcome to another solo episode with me, Jennifer Cohen, on Habits and Hustle. And we have a treat. We have a treat because you guys have not met my friend, Hamet Watt, but you're going to meet him now.
So just some background. You know, Shani used to do a lot of these foils with me. She was my foiler, and I would do some solos, and she would kind of banter with me.
Hamet Watt (0:32)
What's a foiler again? You.
Jennifer Cohen (0:33)
Okay. Basically someone who I can shoot the shit with, basically, and kind of go back and forth with. And I really liked Shani because she was, A, she's super smart, and she has interesting perspectives, and she can challenge me. And she's just, I like her. She's like a friend of mine.
Hamet Watt (0:50)
Got it.
Jennifer Cohen (0:51)
But she's now gone to Israel for, I think, like an amount of time that is just not.
Hamet Watt (1:00)
Forever basically.
Jennifer Cohen (1:00)
Basically forever. We don't know yet.
It's indefinite. How about that? Indefinite.
Hamet Watt (1:05)
Got it.
Jennifer Cohen (1:06)
So anyway, I'm actually introducing you as you're talking to me. So now, I found another potential foiler who's, I get along with Swimmingly, and his name is Hamet Watt.
Hamet Watt (1:19)
Did you say Swimmingly?
Jennifer Cohen (1:20)
Yeah, Swimmingly.
Hamet Watt (1:20)
I've never heard that expression.
Jennifer Cohen (1:21)
You haven't?
Hamet Watt (1:22)
No.
Jennifer Cohen (1:23)
So we get along Swimmingly like, we get along well, like we like interact well, we got a good like dynamic kind of thing.
Hamet Watt (1:28)
Okay.
Jennifer Cohen (1:29)
I've known Hamet for 10 years.
Hamet Watt (1:31)
About that, yeah.
Jennifer Cohen (1:32)
10 years. Okay.
I think we've always kind of, we always clicked from day one, we always had kind of nice little banter. Hamet is a great guy. You're going to see very quickly why I like him so much. He's got a very good sense of humor, he's very smart and sharp, and he like he brings a really good perspective. You are, he's a founder and he's an investor. He's had a lot of success in professional and personal life. He used to run a fund called Upfront Ventures. Well, I was a partner at Upfront. Excuse me.
Hamet Watt (2:03)
I didn't run it.
Jennifer Cohen (2:04)
What's the difference? Tell us.
Hamet Watt (2:05)
There's plenty of people that run the firm. I was just one of the folks that was investing and working on companies. That's it.
Jennifer Cohen (2:10)
Okay.
Hamet Watt (2:10)
Nothing too special.
Jennifer Cohen (2:11)
Well, what do you mean? If you're a partner, weren't you one of the people who ran the fund?
Hamet Watt (2:16)
Well, actually in most venture funds, there's managing partners that typically run the fund, and there are partners that might do investments.
Jennifer Cohen (2:22)
So you were below the managing partner. Okay. But now, that was like back when. Now, Hamet has his own fund. Can I say who's backing it? Yeah. I could. Okay. So Hamet is like a superstar. Really he is. He's got a great eye for like innovation. He runs a human performance lab and is the part of creating some of the coolest brands and products right now on the market. No, it's true.
And he's like an expert in AI and human performance.
And he's so good that Amazon and Google are backing his fund, which is pretty impressive.
Hamet Watt (3:02)
Yeah, it's exciting.
Jennifer Cohen (3:03)
It's exciting and super impressive.
Hamet Watt (3:05)
Yeah. Enough about me. Let's get into this stuff.
Jennifer Cohen (3:07)
What do you think of me? Like enough about me. What do you think of me? So anyway, that's who Hamet is. So just now when you see him, that's who he is. So welcome Hamet to the podcast.
Hamet Watt (3:17)
Thank you very much.
Jennifer Cohen (3:18)
Thank you for being here. I'm honored to be here. Oh, the honor is all mine, so thank you. So since we've never done this before, I figured I would pick a topic and then you and I can just riff on it for 10, 15 minutes.
Hamet Watt (3:32)
Okay.
Jennifer Cohen (3:33)
Okay.
The first one I want to really go over with you is, I mean, since you are a special expert in AI, I think we should start with something like a softball here. Okay. Good.
Hamet Watt (3:45)
Okay. Good week to be talking about AI.
