Have you ever seen an image of Atlas? He's that mythical dude who's carrying the world on his shoulders because he led the Titans in a rebellion against the Olympic gods. And guess what? They lost. So to punish him, Zeus made him stand at the edge of the Western world and balance heaven and earth on his shoulders and keep the cosmos in order. Have you ever felt like you're carrying the world on your shoulders? And if you make one wrong move, it could all come crashing down. Well, hot damn, that's a lot of pressure, friend. And this myth of balance may be causing you and I to chase something that's not tangible but an ideal. And when we realize that balance isn't a destination, but rather part of the journey, then we start to reconsider our relationship to what keeps us in balance. In this episode, we're going to talk about the spiritual roots of maintaining real life versus the myth of balance, what will pay for to be in balance, and simple steps to manifest a more balanced body, mind, and spirit on an everyday basis. So if you've been feeling all over the place, spiraling out, or just attempting to calibrate your life, this episode is for you.
Bless up, and welcome to The Anser, a show that answers your questions from a spiritual, monetary, and manifesting angle. I'm your host, Anne Marie Pizarro, Akashic Records Guide and Success Advocate for spiritual entrepreneurs and creative visionaries. Together, we'll explore the answers your soul has been waiting to ask.
I want you to imagine a young monk in training going to his master and asking, Master, how do you reach balance? The master looks at their young student and simply says, Balance is not some place you reach, but a frequency you inhabit. I want to address why the spiritual roots of balance can feel like a myth. Because balance is not a destination. It's a state of being. And so balance requires attention, presence, choice, and the ability to recalibrate whenever the moment needs it.
We were assigned to come to this planet to have a spiritual and soul experience of being human. We have a very sensitive constitution that responds to pressure, temperature, environmental stimulation, chemicals, and all kinds of things that cause us to be pretty vulnerable. When we are living in a state of balance, all four of the systems in our bodies are in homeostasis, and they are working well with each other. That means the physical is supported, the emotion is managed and calm, the mental is focused and grounded, and the spiritual feeds all of this, allowing a person to feel coherence. Spiritually, balance has always been something humans have sought on earth. They've done this through prayer, meditation, exercise, community gatherings, time in nature, time with therapists, time with friends, and even time alone. Time seems to be a unifying factor in how balance is achieved. And really, balance is a process of coming home to yourself and being in a place of personal alignment and contentment.
Now contentment is often something that people chase, because there's this need to have more, to be more, and to acquire what we can while we're here in this body. And so contentment and balance actually go hand in hand. When one is not content, then they feel unbalanced. And now there's a need to chase for the thing that they're actually trying to attain.
What the Akashic Records, also known as the Souls Book of Life, reveal about the myth of balance is, one, it's part of our souls contract to be in this connection between the higher self and the lower self, so we can maintain a structure of equilibrium where the lower self is responding to the higher self, and the higher self is calibrating the lower self so we can achieve that state of contentment and balance.
The record keepers also talk about how, as humans, we create patterns that either bring us balance or throw us into imbalance. And if we're not paying attention, then we're always in a state of flight or fight, and not even recognizing that the core contract around that assignment to be in balance is to actually find a place where one feels peaceful, grounded, centered, and safe within.
The third vantage point that the record keepers want to offer around balance is that this is always a process of being and attending.
So the myth of balance that the Akashic Records are trying to dispel is that it's not real, when in fact, it is very real. It's real, moment to moment, day to day, and experience to experience. So this is as real as someone who's balancing on a tightrope. It's as real as someone who's balancing on their toes like a ballet dancer. This is as real as you and I looking at our finances and understanding what goes in, what comes out, and how our money is actually taking care of us. And this is as real as you being quiet in your heart to commune with spirit. This is even as real as you laughing and talking to your friends because it just feels so dang good. When you're spiritually in balance, you're able to maintain an attitude of gratitude. You're able to experience contemplation without guilt. And you're able to observe and watch yourself without the need to judge or criticize, but to tend, love, and steward. So, how do we live in a world where there's this myth around balance? The answer is not to give in to what the world says, but to focus on what you, as one person, can do to balance yourself. Physically, it may be a need to exercise, walk more, eat better, sleep more. Emotionally, it may be an opportunity to use breath work to rebalance you, ground your feelings so you feel safe, or to be able to find an outlet so you're not stewing in the chaos of your emotions.
