When you think about businesses that are selling through the roof like Skims or Allbirds, sure, you think about a great product, a cool brand, and great marketing. And Giovanni Lago.

Giovanni Lago (2:07)

Hello, hello.

Matt Singer (2:09)

OK, guys, I have a feeling this week is all about You Can See Everything. We are going to try to avoid spoilers because Lauren, dear Lauren, has not seen it yet. But I'm going to do everything I can to address these questions.

Giovanni Lago (2:24)

Just yank it out as soon as you start reading questions.

Matt Singer (2:27)

I know.

First question here from Robert Rule.

Do you think You Can See Everything will be nominated for Best Picture and get more than one Oscar nomination?

Lauren LaMagna (2:37)

I bet you guys talked about this at length on the radio.

Giovanni Lago (2:41)

We do talk about this at length on the pod.

Matt Singer (2:44)

I think there is a order of likelihood here of the most likely scenario is it gets zero nominations. And I know that that is glass half empty, but that is my most likely prediction. The next likely prediction is it gets in the best picture, but it doesn't get in for Best Documentary. Then, it is getting Documentary, but not Best Picture.

And then there is a world at the very bottom where it gets into both.

Giovanni Lago (3:17)

No, I'll balance it out. I have it in my Best Picture lineup as of now.

Matt Singer (3:22)

Hope-dicting.

Giovanni Lago (3:24)

I'm trying to avoid... You gotta listen to the pod. You know we gotta keep some secrets. You gotta go listen to it. But I will say, and we go very lengthy about the film and the various orders. The very nuances of the documentary conversation, whether it's too much of a documentary or not, a documentary really at all for certain categories. I can see it very much missing documentary, but making Best Picture in other categories.

I think it has enough technically and another category, which I'm not mentioning because Lauren's here and I will not ruin anything for it. You are good. I'm not saying anything. But yeah, it can get texts. It could get picture. I make a very admirable case for them to a director. I think that's a tough sell, but I think there's a world and I will just leave it at it's got the reviews.

It's going to make money. Normal people watching it. Normal people liking it. It just really depends on 824 balancing what they have between the debut, the invite and this because frankly, at this rate, I think Club Kid's kind of done. I think Club Kid needed to place at Toronto for me, despite how great it played in New York. I love the movie. That was Home Field Advantage. That's a literal New York movie. That's a crowd pleaser. Of course, it's going to play well there. I needed to see it place at TIFF for it to be a possible past lives, women talking, screenplay picture thing.
