Hello listeners, and welcome back to another episode of Law and Order Special Viewing Unit, the show where we view, review, and lovingly ridicule everyone's favorite cop drama, Law and Order Special Victims Unit, every episode in a row from the beginning.
Aviv Rubinstein (0:18)
So you don't have to.
Matt Reuter (0:20)
Uh, it's... I guess...
Aviv Rubinstein (0:22)
Oh, wait, let me do that again, let me do that again. Ready?
Matt Reuter (0:24)
Yeah, do it again. Go, go ahead, do it again.
Aviv Rubinstein (0:26)
This whole thing? I don't know.
Matt Reuter (0:31)
Uh, so you don't have to, because at this point, I can't imagine why you would want to. I am your host, Matt Reuter, joining me as always, the... what is it like, the phallus power, phallus king?
Aviv Rubinstein (0:45)
Phallus lover?
Matt Reuter (0:46)
Phallus lover, whatever the phallus handle.
Aviv Rubinstein (0:49)
All these guys are phallus lovers.
Matt Reuter (0:50)
On the dark web. That's Aviv Rubinstein over there. How are you doing today, Aviv?
Aviv Rubinstein (0:55)
Our boss, names Olivia, got buffalo nuts.
Matt Reuter (0:59)
Yeah, I was... you know, now that Rose is doing that, I'm kind of also thinking like what is going to be Aviv's poll quote? That is not one that I had down. I had a different one.
Aviv Rubinstein (1:09)
I figured that would be the obvious one.
Matt Reuter (1:11)
No, there were a couple that I was like... The omegas are rising.
Aviv Rubinstein (1:14)
We're getting what we're owed. I'd go out with you if my husband would get out of town once in a while.
Matt Reuter (1:23)
How are you doing, Aviv?
Aviv Rubinstein (1:25)
I'm doing well. It's Sunday.
We're recording on a Sunday, which is not typical for us. And I spent the first half of the day editing our episode for tomorrow, which is season 20 episode 3
Matt Reuter (1:38)
So you've had a whole day of this.
Aviv Rubinstein (1:39)
A whole day of you and watching the Eagles get their fucking shit beat.
Matt Reuter (1:44)
What a terrible day.
Aviv Rubinstein (1:45)
What an awful day.
Matt Reuter (1:47)
This sounds like the worst day you could possibly have actually. I would also like to provide listeners or just inform, not remind listeners that we've told you a million times. You also specifically requested to move recording to today rather than yesterday. So you, did you actually set yourself up for this one, buddy?
Aviv Rubinstein (2:06)
Because yesterday I had a rare afternoon show for Jacob the Horse. We played with a band that I've mentioned on the show before, Had Had, who covered one of my favorite Philly band songs. The band that I really loved, they broke up in 2007 called The Teeth. So I saw that Had Had play a teeth cover and then we played with them yesterday, knew that they were going to do their teeth cover, so we did a different teeth cover.
Matt Reuter (2:32)
Nice.
Aviv Rubinstein (2:33)
And then The Teeth reposted our cover, so that's cool.
Matt Reuter (2:36)
Hey, that's fun.
Aviv Rubinstein (2:37)
Pretty fun. But I've had a pretty good week on the work front. I'm done with a bunch of things. I'm done with my haunted house script.
Matt Reuter (2:46)
Hey, finally.
Aviv Rubinstein (2:47)
So who the fuck knows? But yeah, and I did my like pick up for my short film, and I finished an edit or mostly finished an edit for like a comedy thing I did. So I'm feeling great, except for I fucked up my back. So in one of those things now, I'm like creaking around. So can't win them all, can you?
Matt Reuter (3:07)
You know, I think that means you take one thing off the plate. So like one of those things should have stayed longer than you keep that balance.
Aviv Rubinstein (3:17)
That's great though. The old Coco Chanel quote, Jews aren't people.
Matt Reuter (3:21)
I believe that is, I think there's a sick at the end there, because she spelled people wrong.
Aviv Rubinstein (3:28)
She did, she was a Nazi. I also did just a wonderful thing yesterday.
Matt Reuter (3:36)
Was that Chanel? I thought that was one of the other big-
Aviv Rubinstein (3:39)
Coco Chanel was, I mean, there were many Nazis, but Coco Chanel was a Nazi, right?
Matt Reuter (3:45)
I have no idea.
Aviv Rubinstein (3:47)
During the German occupation of Paris, Chanel lived at the Hotel Ritz and had a romantic relationship with Baron Hans Gunther von Dincklage, a German military intelligence officer. So she, if not a full Nazi, then a Nazi fucker.
