It was wrong for story purposes. It's like, it's not because Supergirl happens to be a girl. It's not that.

Like, it's bad, but for not the reasons that you're saying it's bad, because you are just full of hate, the internet. It's bad because it's just not a well-made movie. It has nothing to do with Supergirl.
The character and concept and the fact that she's a girl. That's all I'm saying, right? Unless that is actually the problem, and then I'm going to give you some real questions after that.

So it is a little bit of, it feels like an AI version of a James Gunn movie, right? Where it's like there are these weird needle drops, there's like these weird creatures, and like the main character is like a sarcastic alcoholic, and all that stuff is fine if a bit played out, and a bit like you're just going through them. It feels just going through the motions, right? But I want to point out-

Wait, can I ask a clarifying question? Yeah. Didn't James Gunn have a hand in, didn't he produce this?

Yeah, he produced it, but he didn't direct it. Craig Gillespie directed it, who directed the I, Tonya movie.

Great. But James Gunn, is he just an EP in name only, or was he actually producing this fucking thing? Because like-

I think he was actually producing. I mean, he's the guy, he's the Kevin Feige of the DC.

Right. And that's what I'm saying, where it's like, how did you knock one out of the fucking park with Superman? And then of course you come to Supergirl and like, what happened? I know you didn't direct this one, but if you're producing it-

The theory that Leanne and I have is that Superman was a big hit, and for whatever reason, they were like not sure maybe if they were going to fully go in with Supergirl, or in what way they were going to go in with Supergirl. And so when, almost exactly a year ago Superman was a hit, they were like, swarm, swarm, swarm! And like everything kind of felt rushed and edited to death. And so this is the, these are the couple, so spoilers, listeners, if you don't want to know spoilers about Supergirl, skip ahead a couple times.

Several several minutes. So the rough plot of the movie is that a young, we're on a distant planet, a young girl named Ruthie spelled the dumbest way possible, her parents are killed in front of her, so she wants to go kill the guy that killed her parents. Once again, very Guardians of the Galaxy.
And so she lists the help of Supergirl and he, the guy that killed-

No, Lobo is basically incidental to the movie.

Oh, okay. I was like, because Lobo is a bounty hunter, so that would make-

He is a bounty hunter, but he's just like kind of there. Much like Lando Calrissian in Empire, he's just kind of there.

Well, he has more- Well, he is kind of integral to the story.

Yeah, Lobo is not integral to the story.

He saves the day in a sec, for like one sec. But okay, moving on, or a thousand points of light. In trying to help this girl, Crypto, the Superdog, gets poisoned, and now Supergirl and Ruthie are going to, from planet to planet, looking for this guy to try to kill him.
