Hey, welcome to The Sidebar Cantina, the podcast where we talk about Star Wars, pop culture, and Dave attempting to use a knife to open a cork lid to a bottle.
Dave (0:41)
I don't, I don't.
Jason (0:43)
You could have just asked, we've got cork removers in the house. Okay, all right, well, he got it.
Dave (0:48)
Well, it's not supposed to be like that.
It's supposed to, I don't know why it broke apart. It's not like this is the oldest.
Jason (0:56)
Oh, it was attached to the cap? Yeah. Oh, so you were supposed to just be able to...
Dave (1:01)
Yeah, exactly. And it's not like I just opened it.
Jason (1:04)
Oh, so it just broke for some reason.
Dave (1:06)
Yeah, it just didn't want to fucking whatever.
Jason (1:09)
All right. Dave's got a little, what's you drinking there?
Dave (1:13)
It's a little Woodford Reserve Double Oaked.
I felt like it's appropriate for... to have a little nip for today.
Jason (1:27)
Sounds good. I finally, finally found some Sam Adams Oktoberfest beer. It's been quite the journey trying to get this stuff because it's normally on shelves like the last week of July.
And this is the first time I've seen it in stores.
Dave (1:43)
So you said quite the journey. Like, did you actually have to journey?
Jason (1:47)
I actually did today because the first liquor store that's right around the corner here that I always go to, they didn't have it. So I'm like, what the fuck? So I had to drive to another liquor store.
Dave (1:55)
That's not a journey. It is this because that one liquor store is like moments away.
Jason (2:01)
Right. So I had to journey elsewhere. Hello, Kathleen Martin in the chat.
Dave (2:05)
That that needs to get turned off.
Jason (2:08)
Is that number four?
Dave (2:09)
Yeah.
Jason (2:09)
Say something.
Dave (2:10)
Number four. All right.
Jason (2:11)
That's better. Okay. So what's going on here? Anyway, yeah, we're back. It's the podcast.
Dave (2:19)
Yes.
Jason (2:19)
Been a few weeks.
Dave (2:20)
Has been a few weeks.
Jason (2:22)
You know, had had things going on and you had things going on.
Dave (2:26)
Yeah, I was just, you know, sitting around waiting for Jason.
Jason (2:29)
Had a little little vacation that I'm going to talk quite a bit about. Yeah, I helmet fire. You're not helping here, but he agrees with you.
Dave (2:40)
Yes, it's right there.
It's right there. But the other one's probably just there.
Jason (2:49)
It's a ways down.
Dave (2:50)
Anyways, is it closer than the old mall?
Jason (2:54)
No, it's kind of okay. I guess it's technically closer.
But anyway, you know, a journey isn't just distance. It's also time. It's been a journey through time to get to this point where I can actually find these things.
Dave (3:07)
You know what is a journey through time? Just fucking having to listen to you talk about it being a journey.
Jason (3:15)
All right, fair enough. So anyway, we're back. And what are we talking about today?
Dave (3:22)
I think we're going to talk a little bit about the episode five and six.
Jason (3:27)
Yes.
Dave (3:28)
Of The Ninth Jedi.
3PO. Yeah. And mostly talk about the stuff that we've been doing for the past couple of weeks. Right. Probably because your trip to Disney is probably more interesting than...
All right. So full disclosure, like you were saying how you weren't really engaged with the fifth and sixth episodes. I was more... I only watched it one time, but I was more engaged with it. I think there was some compelling stuff there.
Jason (3:58)
There was, eventually. Yeah.
Dave (4:01)
Yeah.
Jason (4:02)
So, but yeah, we'll get into it when we get into the...
Dave (4:04)
When we get there, eventually. Hold on, folks.
We'll get there.
Jason (4:08)
But there's some other things we have to get to first, starting with Patreon.
Dave (4:12)
Yeah. Yeah.
We should do Patreon.
Jason (4:15)
All right.
Dave (4:16)
So are you actually ready to do Patreon? I'm ready to do Patreon. What the fuck?
Jason (4:20)
Wow.
Dave (4:21)
I know. What's going on here? He comes back from vacation and he's actually ready to do something.
Jason (4:24)
Yes. Do something.
Dave (4:26)
The rest of this fucking show is going to fall apart.
Jason (4:29)
Right.
Well, we'd like to give a huge shout out to all of our current patrons. Frank Kowalewicz, Catherine Rinnick, DragonBuddy. Whoa.
Dave (4:38)
This is obviously not on the right page.
Jason (4:40)
DragonBuddy.
