**Jason Roskam** (0:30)
The podcast where we talk about Star Wars, pop culture, impending storms, or whatever the fuck we feel like talking about. I'm Mr. Jason Roskam, with me here each and every single week. The Darth Vader to my Palpatine, Dave Martin. Hello, Dave.
**Dave Martin** (0:41)
Hello, Jason.
**Jason Roskam** (0:42)
How are you?
**Dave Martin** (0:43)
I'm fine. I'm just looking up at the thing and looking at it. It looks like I'm being eliminated from something here. I don't know what's going on in the chat.
**Jason Roskam** (0:52)
Neither do I.
**Dave Martin** (0:52)
I'm immediately...
**Jason Roskam** (0:55)
Oh, you're talking the Masters of the Universe conversation?
**Dave Martin** (0:57)
I guess that's, is that what you were talking about? Yeah, I just feel like I was being isolated, that's all.
**Jason Roskam** (1:03)
She did mention that I would really like it, that I must watch it, but not you.
**Dave Martin** (1:07)
What does that mean?
**Jason Roskam** (1:08)
I don't know. Maybe I would just have a deeper appreciation of it.
**Dave Martin** (1:12)
Maybe.
**Jason Roskam** (1:14)
Anyway, what's going on?
**Dave Martin** (1:18)
I'm here. I'm happy to be here. Yeah, it's been a couple of weeks. Happy to be breathing.
**Jason Roskam** (1:23)
That's a very good thing.
**Dave Martin** (1:25)
If only, but barely.
**Jason Roskam** (1:26)
Yeah.
**Dave Martin** (1:28)
Apologies to the greater listening audience. If you get a lot of this today from talking, my public service announcement for everyone is, wear a fucking mask when you are doing things like sanding, and especially when sanding, I don't know, maybe a door that's probably covered in lead paint.
**Jason Roskam** (1:58)
Right.
**Dave Martin** (1:59)
I mean, it's kind of self-critiquing.
**Jason Roskam** (2:03)
Yeah.
**Dave Martin** (2:03)
Because if you really think about it, it was a 70-year-old door, you took it down to the wood, probably had lead paint, you weren't wearing a mask, even though your wife said, hey, you should put on a mask. And I was like, what do you know, woman?
It's not what I said. But in my brain, I'm like, I'm outside, we got fans running, it'll be fine. Well, apparently, weeks later, I can't breathe. Why can't I breathe, Jason? Well, I'll tell you why. Oh, there, Jason.
Apparently, the tiny particulate matter gets into your lungs and collapses these tiny sacks of that are in your lungs. I think they're called avioli. And when they collapse, then you can't, like when you try and take a full breath, you're not like getting like a full breath. Like, so it feels like you're out of breath a lot.
**Jason Roskam** (3:06)
Yeah.
**Dave Martin** (3:07)
And I've been feeling like that for weeks.
**Jason Roskam** (3:10)
And this started around the time that you sanded the door?
**Dave Martin** (3:12)
I think sanding the door was definitely part of it. Okay. So this sensation is a lot like when we had COVID.
**Jason Roskam** (3:19)
Yeah.
**Dave Martin** (3:21)
My thing with COVID was like not being able to breathe. Like I had a gorilla sitting on my chest. It was very, very difficult to breathe. So this isn't as bad. This is more like a very heavy baby on my chest.
Like an overweight baby. Right. Like, you know, put down the ding-dongs and mom and maybe just like some natural, just titty milk. Like just let the baby fucking breathe a little.
It's just heavy ass baby.
**Jason Roskam** (3:54)
Sure.
**Dave Martin** (3:55)
On my chest. So it's and it makes it harder to breathe. So yeah, last week I was like, Oh, I'm tired of kind of feeling like this.
I'm going to have it checked out.
**Jason Roskam** (4:07)
Yeah.
**Dave Martin** (4:07)
I go in there and they do an x-ray and like, Oh, good news. It's not pneumonia. I'm like, sweet. Bad news. You kind of have this thing. It's not a big deal. Literally, Dr. Wallenspeakerphone with Kathy. It's not a big deal. Just make sure you take a lot of deep breaths.
Okay. Sure.
**Jason Roskam** (4:30)
Thanks, Doc. Yeah.
**Dave Martin** (4:31)
Meanwhile, he sent me home with steroids, antibiotics and all this other shit.
And I already had the inhaler. So what is that?
**Jason Roskam** (4:39)
What happened? I didn't catch what it said.
**Dave Martin** (4:42)
I don't know, but it was a big red...
**Jason Roskam** (4:45)
Oh, no. Are we out of space?
**Dave Martin** (4:47)
Oh, no.
**Jason Roskam** (4:47)
The recording has stopped. It just says that it's counted in error.
**Dave Martin** (4:52)
All right. Well, it's... Well, I mean, we have the stream art file that we can download.
