**Cheryl Yamaguchi** (0:11)
And my name is Cheryl. And Joy and I are two old friends who are going to talk about Murder and Everything Else.

**Joy McKeon** (0:19)
Welcome back.
We have an exciting program set up for all of you today. Just a quick reminder that this is not for kids. So, although today's topic isn't so gruesome.

**Cheryl Yamaguchi** (0:40)
Well, that's a matter of opinion.

**Joy McKeon** (0:43)
At least not yet.

**Cheryl Yamaguchi** (0:46)
I have a few gruesome comments.

**Joy McKeon** (0:52)
Well, you have enough time to get them out of the room. Anyway, you want to go full tilt into our highs and lows?

**Cheryl Yamaguchi** (1:03)
Sure. I'm going to start with my low. So, the other day, Kevin and I went to Verizon, and I'm sorry, but I'm going to call out Verizon.
I'm over it now as far as I'm thinking, should I call and ask for the manager? And then, you know, what would happen is that this person that helped us would be the manager. But anyway, or help, helped us. So, we've done this before. My darling husband will have the older iPhone than me, and then he'll get me the newer one. Eventually, that old one is now even older. So, he had he has an 8 plus and I have an 11, and his 8 plus is starting to go out where it's not charging fully, you know, all that stuff where you're like, I got to get this rectified before I can't take any call. You know, I have no phone.
So, we go to Verizon and I'll make-

**Joy McKeon** (1:59)
What happened to your phone?

**Cheryl Yamaguchi** (2:01)
No, my phone is fine.

**SPEAKER_3** (2:03)
What happened to his phone?

**Cheryl Yamaguchi** (2:11)
Let's ask the listeners. And they're called listeners because they listen. I guess your title is podcaster, so you don't have to listen.

**SPEAKER_4** (2:25)
Tell me what happened to his phone.

**Cheryl Yamaguchi** (2:33)
Oh, Jesus, if this is how it's going to weep just 10 minutes into this and she's already not listening to me.
Okay, his eight plus is starting to not charge well. What did I just say?

**Joy McKeon** (2:47)
I think it blanked out at that part.

**Cheryl Yamaguchi** (2:50)
Okay. Did you hear what I just said? Anyway, okay. Okay, so he was going to take my 11 and upgrade me to one that was affordable.
I do not need the 15 and all the bells and whistles because I just I text.

**Joy McKeon** (3:09)
There's a 15?

**Cheryl Yamaguchi** (3:11)
Yes. Oh, man. Where have you been?

**Joy McKeon** (3:14)
Well, I don't have an iPhone.

**Cheryl Yamaguchi** (3:15)
Oh, that's true. And you know what, Joy? I wish you would get one because I can't type to you on my iPad because you're so poor. Anyway, let me just summarize this because people are starting to they're dropping like flies right now.
We were there for an hour and we walked out with no new phones. Let me just put it that way. The guy had no he's standing by the door and did his big schmoozer like, hey, what do you need? And we said very clearly, my husband, Kevin goes, I'm going to take her phone and get her another one, not the latest greatest dude could not give us the pricing. He was like, let me see if there's a promotional thing because maybe both of you can get 14 plus and blah, blah, blah.
He leaves to go in the back and then I have to use the bathroom. So I'm looking for a bathroom and I go back there. By the way, there's no bathroom in Verizon. So be prepared.

**SPEAKER_4** (4:16)
Why don't you go to that Apple store?

**Cheryl Yamaguchi** (4:19)
We always go to Verizon because that's when we get it through. I don't know. Maybe we will because this experience was, this guy at one point was like, and if you add a third line, meaning a third phone number, exactly, you know what he asked me? Yeah. He goes, I'm going to teach him how to dial 9-1-1.
So he, well, you know, huskies like to talk. Anyway, he asked if I use phone for work. I said, well, I'm going to have to clock in and out on an app, but that's basically it. You know, and then the next minute, he's trying to sell us another line. And Kevin's like, what are we going to do with that?
He had, first of all, he took forever in the back while he was looking up the promotions. And he comes out, has no idea what he's doing, tries to get to Verizon.
