What is up, ladies and gentlemen? Welcome to Friend to A Friend Podcast. I'm your host, Chris.
**TK** (0:05)
And I'm TK. And in this podcast, we talk about life. We talk about relationships. And what else do we talk about, Chris?
**Chris** (0:11)
Oh, we talk about everything in between, girl. Yeah. Let's get it popping, y'all. Stay tuned, let's go.
**TK** (0:19)
I'm sorry.
**Chris** (0:25)
What up, what up, what up, what up? What it do?
**TK** (0:28)
Wagoo, wagoo.
**Chris** (0:30)
What's going on, ladies and gentlemen? I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your loved ones.
**TK** (0:34)
Welcome back.
**Chris** (0:36)
I'm still doing my thing. I'm sorry, guys. It's okay. Just, let me just say, you know, just acknowledge that real quick. You know, it's kind of rude.
**TK** (0:45)
I thought we were gonna do like a back and forth.
**Chris** (0:47)
Nah, I wasn't in the mood for that today, but clearly you are. Anyways, thank you guys for joining us for another episode of Friend to A Friend podcast. I'm your host, Chris.
**TK** (0:57)
Y'all know who it is, man. I'm not gonna keep doing this with y'all. Shouldn't do this.
**Chris** (1:04)
Anyway, TK, how was your Thanksgiving?
**TK** (1:07)
It was fun. It was good. It was pretty chill. We did it at my mom's house this time, which we don't. We usually go to my grandma's house, but you know, it's COVID.
**Chris** (1:14)
You said she don't want nobody near there.
**TK** (1:16)
Yeah, she wasn't really feeling it. So they hosted Thanksgiving at my mom's house. It was nice. I made lasagna and I used those no-boil noodles, which I love. But, okay, if you're going to do that just for next year, if anyone wants to try this, you got to get three bottles of sauce, not two, because it absorbs the liquid in the sauce. And that top layer, if it don't get enough sauce on there, it's just blank, it's right there. It's crunchy.
And it took a long time for it to finally solidify.
**Chris** (1:48)
I have Doritos up in there.
**TK** (1:50)
And I took the first slice just to see, because I had to cook it at my mom's house. So I made it at my house. I brought it to my mom's house. And I took that first slice and I heard it go, I said, this junk is not ready.
And so everybody, you pretty much had to peel the top layer off. Oh no. But the next day it was fine. But just that's what happened to me.
**Chris** (2:12)
Got you, got you.
**TK** (2:12)
How about you?
**Chris** (2:13)
Oh, it was really good. I had Thanksgiving with my lady and her family. It was really nice, really fun. I was in charge of the ham.
**TK** (2:22)
Oh, you made the ham?
**Chris** (2:23)
I made the ham.
**TK** (2:24)
How'd it come out?
**Chris** (2:25)
Let's just say it was a hit.
**TK** (2:26)
Oh, you said you put pineapples on it.
**Chris** (2:28)
Yeah.
**TK** (2:29)
And what else?
**Chris** (2:30)
I get the brown sugar. Brown sugar and pineapple.
**TK** (2:34)
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
**Chris** (2:34)
And it comes with a packet of brown sugar. I mixed that in a pot with the ham glaze.
**TK** (2:43)
Yeah.
**Chris** (2:44)
Mixed with cherries and all that.
**TK** (2:45)
Dang, you put all types of fruits on your ham.
**Chris** (2:47)
Let me finish. No, that comes with the ham glaze. The ham glaze itself.
**TK** (2:50)
Okay.
**Chris** (2:51)
And then I add the pineapple. I pour the pineapple juice in the pot with all those two things. Stir it up until it becomes brown and syrup-looking in a way. And I put it to the side until the ham's fully cooked.
**TK** (3:04)
Yeah.
**Chris** (3:04)
I stick the pineapples from the pineapple juice. I put those in between the hams.
**TK** (3:10)
Okay.
**Chris** (3:11)
So you like... To build it up.
**TK** (3:12)
Yeah.
**Chris** (3:12)
Yeah. So have that pineapple savory taste inside. And then once the ham is cooked with the pineapples, I pour the glaze all over it. It's amazing.
**TK** (3:22)
This is... You know what's so weird? What's with this brown sugar ham thing that happens? Is that like a normal thing? Because my mom does that too, like with the brown sugar. And I'm just like...
**Chris** (3:31)
I assume it is. I don't know. I got that from my mom. I didn't know that was a normal thing.
**TK** (3:35)
That's a mom thing.
**Chris** (3:36)
My mom does it.
**TK** (3:37)
Yeah.
**Chris** (3:38)
