Yo, look who it is. Welcome, welcome, welcome.
Welcome back, how was your trip?
SPEAKER_2 (0:09)
I'm glad to be back. Yeah, no worries. Europe, Italy, Austria, 10 days.
Martin Shkreli (0:18)
It's good.
SPEAKER_2 (0:20)
I brought you one of these back. Oh yeah, thank you. This is the real Mozart.
Martin Shkreli (0:26)
What the hell? Have you ever had one of these? That's a Mozart. Mozart chocolate?
SPEAKER_2 (0:30)
Mozart chocolate ball, yeah. There's one more in the kitchen.
Martin Shkreli (0:32)
Chocolate balls?
SPEAKER_2 (0:33)
Yeah. I'm going to put it like that. But Europe, oh my God.
Martin Shkreli (0:39)
I got it.
SPEAKER_2 (0:40)
Did I tell you I got stuck in an airplane in Rome on tarmac for eight hours?
Martin Shkreli (0:45)
No.
SPEAKER_2 (0:45)
Don't go to Rome.
Martin Shkreli (0:47)
Yeah, I did. It sucks.
I don't like it.
SPEAKER_2 (0:51)
Yeah. I didn't need that. And yeah, I was on the plane back when they were doing the interest rates yesterday. My Wi-Fi, oh my God. My Wi-Fi cut out. I was like, what is going on?
Martin Shkreli (1:08)
I've got a week. I went to SF in LA, and I forgot my passport.
SPEAKER_2 (1:15)
No. Some of my medicine. No.
Martin Shkreli (1:20)
Then I went to All In, which was great. But one of the problems with one of these conferences is I want to go meet people.
SPEAKER_2 (1:27)
Yeah.
Martin Shkreli (1:28)
But everyone wants to meet me. I want to meet 1% of the people. But 99% of the people want to meet me.
And so, I'm surrounded by college kids. Oh. The people I really, again, I'm flattered. I appreciate everyone who's interested in what I have to say. But I want to meet the billionaires.
SPEAKER_2 (1:48)
Yeah. Did you get to meet Jensen?
Martin Shkreli (1:51)
No.
SPEAKER_2 (1:52)
Damn.
Martin Shkreli (1:52)
No.
SPEAKER_2 (1:53)
They sequestered him somewhere?
Martin Shkreli (1:54)
I'm sure he came in and left the table.
SPEAKER_2 (1:59)
Threw a helicopter somewhere, a secret trap door. Yeah.
Martin Shkreli (2:02)
It was an interesting little venue, but then we went to this crazy-ass mansion. It was going to be a VIP dinner with the besties, which are the all-in hosts, and then a handful of people like VIPs. And then they just changed the venue to the after party, or the party, the main party for the night, which was like a thousand people.
And I brought the kid and the wife, and it was just overwhelming. You know, she's pregnant, so, you know, that was, you know, she's not, you know, 100 percent, so, you know. And so...
SPEAKER_2 (2:42)
It was too much.
Martin Shkreli (2:44)
It was just not as productive as I would have liked. I liked getting my message out there. I liked being seen by people, for sure. But if I had to do it again, I would have literally shown up to speak.
SPEAKER_2 (2:55)
Maybe that's what Jensen did.
Martin Shkreli (2:57)
He was like, he got on stage, and then bounced.
SPEAKER_2 (3:00)
Oh my god.
Did you see the frame-mogging at the Salesforce conference? All the memes coming out? It's like Mark Benioff is like seven feet tall, and he's just like shaking hands with... My god.
Martin Shkreli (3:14)
I saw the Dari.
SPEAKER_2 (3:15)
Oh yeah. Yeah. Oh yeah.
Martin Shkreli (3:17)
Was it with anybody else?
SPEAKER_2 (3:19)
Jensen was like... Jensen actually talked about it. He's like, look, you're, you know, like a foot taller than me.
I don't know if this was bullshit I read on 4chan. It really happened. Someone can fact check it. He was like, yeah, I know you're a foot taller than me, but you know, I've evolved past height. You know, I'm...
Martin Shkreli (3:35)
Yeah.
SPEAKER_2 (3:36)
And the one with Sam Oldman was hilarious.
Martin Shkreli (3:38)
Are you okay with me calling you my coworker? It's okay.
SPEAKER_2 (3:41)
You can call me whatever, as long as the paycheck hits.
Do you know the golden rule, Martin? He who has the gold makes the rules.
Martin Shkreli (3:52)
Yeah, I guess so.
Yeah, no, I mean, I respect my coworkers. You can't fire me, but you could quit, and I don't want that. So-
SPEAKER_2 (4:02)
Yeah, but where am I going to go that lets me be me? Right?
Martin Shkreli (4:07)
Good question.
SPEAKER_2 (4:08)
Yeah. Like what company is going to make me, like they're going to let me make the Wojak index, right?
Martin Shkreli (4:14)
I mean-
SPEAKER_2 (4:14)
They're going to be like, oh, you want to make a heat map, you want to make IMAP, like all this stuff. As soon as you like it, you're just YOLO at the prod. Like, where can I do that?
