Ep. 9 | Dr. Tyna Moore on GLP-1 Micro Dosing, HRT, Joint Healing, and Why She Got Censored

The Hunter Williams Podcast

October 9, 2026

Dr. Tyna Moore is one of the most censored voices in the peptide and HRT space. She’s a naturopathic doctor with decades of clinical experience in regenerative medicine and was one of the first practitioners advocating for intelligent, individualized use of GLP-1s before it was mainstream.

Hey, everybody, this is Hunter Williams. I hope you are amazing wherever you are at in the world. I am so excited today. I have Dr. Tyna Moore with me. If you watch my content, I don't think she needs any introduction. So you can go look her up, obviously. In my opinion, she is one of the forefront voices kind of in this whole alternative slash fringe health world that we live in, but especially as it relates to HRT and peptides, which I know is what you guys are here for. So I'm really excited to talk to her. She was absolutely one of the first people, I think, of like the GLP craze that started a few years ago, of that I heard of that was like actually advocating for responsible and intelligent use of these and how to use these in practice.

So I'm really excited to talk to her kind of with her knowledge base and data set of all of the people she's worked with. I think we're going to get in to some fun stuff today. But Dr. Tyna, thank you for being here. How are you doing?

Tyna Moore (1:14)

Thank you. I'm so excited to be here. I'm so excited to finally connect with you. I'm a big fan of your work too, so this will be fun.

Hunter Williams (1:19)

Well, likewise. And I always tell people, I was actually talking to Natalie Nidham the other day, and I was like, long before you knew me, I know who you were, and I was watching your stuff. So it's the same for you. But anyway, I think obviously anyone that's watching the show, whether it from your audience or my audience, they're probably into the HRT and peptides world. I think as people that are helping people, obviously you're on the medical side. I'm just not a doctor, just a health coach. I just help people and try to get them going in the right direction and point them to get doctors like you. But I want to talk about GLPs and this idea of microdosing first, and you're probably sick of that term at this point of hearing like, GLP microdosing, microdosing, microdosing this.

Can you just walk people through to start off? What is the rationale behind microdosing? Maybe what is your definition of it? Is there a certain dose that you would say is microdosing, or is that relevant to the person? So what is your concept around the idea of microdosing?

Tyna Moore (2:17)

So when I first started talking about this, I had a very different idea than what has actually come about in the last few years. And I was heavily censored, like you have been. And so I got sort of shut down in 2024

It wasn't really allowed to defend my stance on this at all. So it kind of took on a life of its own. And the inmates are running the asylum, and it's got multiple definitions at this point. But the way that I originally intended was my practice has always been in regenerative medicine. And so it was predominately healthy, fit, active, well-muscled, well-nourished middle-aged people. That was predominately who came to see me. Guys like you who were, like, hit in your 40s or 50s, and now you've got, like, your shoulders getting a little jacked up from the gym, and we fix you up, and we, you know, so you can continue on with your sport being an athlete. And so I've always just had a pretty cherry-picked audience, right, a patient base, because these regenerative injection therapies don't work great in those who are metabolically compromised, deconditioned, et cetera. They're just, it's really not who they're for, because it's all contingent on your body's own ability to heal. And so I was already working deeply with people in their metabolic health. That's kind of been my schtick the whole time. Like, back in 2016, I went online, and I was like, deadlift and eat steak, and people were not having it.

That's when all the big health goobers were telling us to go vegan and do yoga, right? And so it was not a popular idea. I'm glad it's popular now. It's only taken a decade, and my hair is completely white now. It was dark back then. So you see what it's done to me. But this just fit in beautifully. When I actually started researching GLP-1s and what they did, I wasn't looking at them for weight loss or for type 2 diabetes. I kind of just went like top down because my background's pain and chronic pain, acute pain, and so I started looking at its impacts on the musculoskeletal system in the brain, and I was blown away by the data set that we had. And some of it was in rodents and some of it was in humans, and it was going way back, like 20 years. And I was like, wait, this is not at all what we're hearing. And that was right around the time when GLP-1s were just like getting so much clickbaity hate on the internet. Like everybody decided that all at once they hated GLP-1s because I think they're all fataphobic, perhaps.
