I have a fun story.
So my girlfriend's girlfriend is a lesbian, which means that she likes to have sex with women.
So one time, me, my girlfriend, and her girlfriend, and her girlfriend, we go to Woody's in Philadelphia. It's a gay bar, but it's a very nice like, it has a very open aesthetic. And we're downstairs, I put my card on file. We go upstairs, it's me and my girlfriend. And like every 30 seconds, they're dumping out an amount of like fog, to the point where like, I can't see my hand in front of my face. And me and my girlfriend are having a very nice time, like as adults, like post like middle school, like we're just grinding and having a good time. And I feel very, and I don't, I don't feel sexy ever. But Matthew, between you and me in this moment with the fog and no one can see me, I feel a little sexy.
Liam Reese (2:51)
You know, you're grinding, we're having a good time.
Justin Richardson (2:54)
Fog goes down, you can see the crowd, fog comes back. Most dudes don't have their shirt on.
So I go in a moment of pure confidence, I go, I'm taking my top off, shirt off, tucked into my jeans. We're having a good time, we're still grinding. I need another drink. My card's downstairs. Let me dip off real quick. I hit the stairwell. As I'm coming down the stairs, there's a group of two men coming up the stairs.
Liam Reese (3:22)
There was a landing.
Justin Richardson (3:24)
And in that landing, this man takes his index finger and he puts it at the top of my chest and he runs it down to my belly button. And then he continues walking up the stairs.
And in that moment, I went from being free and sexy to I don't ever want that to happen to me ever again.
Matt Lavelle (3:47)
Can I ask you this, Justin, right? So in the league, in the NFL, no one likes being have to take a piss test. But if you got to take a piss test for steroids, because they think you had such a good game that you must be on steroids, it's almost like a compliment in a way.
Bern Podcasy (4:07)
That's kind of what I was thinking.
Matt Lavelle (4:09)
Did you take this as like, hey, you must have been looking right if you got to trickle down the happy trail, right?
Justin Richardson (4:17)
In the moment, I felt confident to do it. And then once this man touched me, the shame of my body like recognized back to me where I was like, I don't like, I don't ever want to, I don't, I didn't know I could feel so vulnerable. Please don't, I didn't think a man was going to, he, the, the, the amount of which I was not aware of my surroundings to let a man's grown finger go from like, neck to belly button slowly before it like had hit me. What happened?
Bern Podcasy (4:48)
Did he give you the little Pillsbury Doughboy at the end? Or just let it go?
Justin Richardson (4:52)
I ran it down and just kept walking as smooth as I was being. I was like, I am in a vulnerable place where I do not feel comfortable and I don't.
Bern Podcasy (4:59)
I don't, that man's never thought about it again. And that moment will never leave your mind.
Liam Reese (5:05)
Here's the question.
Bern Podcasy (5:06)
Yeah.
Liam Reese (5:07)
Could you, could you bite him off if you had to? Or was he like, was he like an Omar or like Schillinger?
SPEAKER_5 (5:14)
This was not an intimidating man.
Justin Richardson (5:15)
This was just the man who caught me so off guard I didn't see coming.
