Well, hello, you filthy animals, and welcome to another episode of the Working Perspectives Podcast, Presents Beat the Bros. I'm Matt Lavelle, accompanied today by the one and only Prince of Picklebar, the madame of Pumpernix, the Pumpernix Waitress Slayer himself, the one and only Liam Le Schmiglerice. And as always, we're joined by the whiny crybaby who can't sit down straight because his butt is so hurt, the one and only Butthurtburn Podkissie.
It's episode 595 on tonight's show. We're having a lot of fun. Got some great stuff. We're going to start off, I guess, in the top 10 horror movie franchises. Then we got 20 questions to guess a disgraced celebrity, and then we'll finish up with the news. Super fun. Can't wait. Make sure you put your comments in the air because we'll read them on the Friday show. Alright, let's play the theme song.
Alright, let's get it started. The Schmigley hit us with the top 10 list. Go ahead, Daddy.
Liam Reese (2:04)
Alright, guys, I just saw Resident Evil over the weekend and I liked it. So in honor of that movie, we're going to do the top 10 horror movie franchises of all time according to IMDB, YouTube and Reddit.
Matt Lavelle (2:21)
Very nice.
Liam Reese (2:22)
All right.
Matt Lavelle (2:22)
Love it. Love it. Want more of it. Make it hurt. Drill Sergeant, make it hurt. Oh, OK. Ben Didi Padalini, you're ready to go?
SPEAKER_4 (2:32)
Yeah, man, I'm ready to go. You want to go first or second?
Matt Lavelle (2:34)
I will go first because I don't have many. So I'm going to throw some out there. All right, Liam, go for it. Show me Scream.
Liam Reese (2:42)
Scream is number five, and I think it belongs on there. Some of them in the middle were kind of, you know, lame, but the first one was iconic, dude.
SPEAKER_3 (2:52)
Very good.
Matt Lavelle (2:53)
All right, go ahead, Burn.
SPEAKER_4 (2:57)
Liam, show me Halloween.
Liam Reese (2:59)
Halloween is number one, and I agree with it being number one.
Matt Lavelle (3:04)
Halloween Michael Myers?
SPEAKER_3 (3:06)
Yes, sir. Yep. Okay.
SPEAKER_4 (3:08)
And the first two movies, because the second one starts right at the end of the first one, were absolute fire.
SPEAKER_5 (3:14)
Things got unreal.
SPEAKER_4 (3:16)
When you make a million of them, they get a little dicey in the middle, but the first two were absolute.
Liam Reese (3:22)
They were so good.
SPEAKER_3 (3:23)
I agree.
Matt Lavelle (3:24)
Did you guys ever crack up at the joke? My buddy's dad, he's been on the show. Shout out Mr. Bowers.
He used to, when it was Halloween, he would say, and we'd go trick or treating. No, not crazy. RIP. Love crazy. But no, Mr. Bowers, he would, whenever we go Halloween, we'd be like trick or treating. He would just be like, Hey guys, look, it's a bunch of Halloweeners.
And that always cracked me up. Strong.
SPEAKER_4 (3:53)
Strong.
Matt Lavelle (3:53)
Strong.
SPEAKER_4 (3:54)
Yeah, it's good to hear.
Matt Lavelle (3:55)
All right. Can I get Saw?
Liam Reese (3:58)
Saw is on there. Saw is number eight. Good one.
SPEAKER_4 (4:01)
Okay.
Nice job, Matty. Yeah.
Matt Lavelle (4:05)
Go ahead, Ben Didi.
SPEAKER_4 (4:07)
Can I get A Nightmare on Elm Street?
Liam Reese (4:10)
Nightmare on Elm Street is number three.
Matt Lavelle (4:12)
Shit, that was my next one.
Liam Reese (4:15)
You're still missing a big one of the top three.
SPEAKER_4 (4:20)
What is... Think about that one and piggyback right off it.
Matt Lavelle (4:24)
Is Jason one of them? What's Jason?
Liam Reese (4:27)
What are the movies called?
SPEAKER_4 (4:30)
What day is it?
Matt Lavelle (4:31)
Oh, Friday the 13th.
Liam Reese (4:33)
Friday the 13th is number two.
Matt Lavelle (4:36)
All right. Okay. So there you go.
All right. We're not doing bad. What do you got? No, we got five. So what do you got, Bern?
SPEAKER_4 (4:45)
All right. Let's see here.
SPEAKER_5 (4:50)
What about?
Liam Reese (4:51)
There's there's one on this list that is more recent.
SPEAKER_4 (4:56)
I would say the insidious.
Liam Reese (5:01)
Insidious.
SPEAKER_5 (5:02)
Is that a franchise?
Liam Reese (5:04)
Yeah, they have like what's it?
SPEAKER_4 (5:07)
Or am I thinking of the wrong? I'm thinking of the OK, I'm thinking of the wrong. You're close.
Liam Reese (5:11)
You're like so close. You're like right.
SPEAKER_4 (5:14)
It's yeah.
SPEAKER_5 (5:15)
Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_4 (5:15)
It's it's it's Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson as the ghost, the demon hunters. The couple that like the couple that are there demons. You're there. It's it's not insidious.
