WORKING PERSPECTIVES PODCAST!!

July 20, 2026

Get ready for an all-out game night on the Working Perspectives Podcast! We kick this episode off by tackling one of the most hilariously complicated questions of our time: if conjoined twins go to a sporting event, do they have to buy one ticket or two?
Speakers: Matt, Tom, Liam, Bern
**Matt** (0:00)
Well, hey there, how are you? Thanks for stopping in. It's another episode of the Working Perspectives Podcast, presents Beat the Bros. I'm Matt Lavelle, accompanied as always by Bandini Patilini Bernpockese, Liam Picklebar-Reese, and Tom Lavelle's here too. We got a fun show for you today, great stuff coming at you. We're doing a top 10 list, brought to you by ol Picklebar. It's the top 10 sports that have the most fans. That's right. Then we're doing a 20 questions game, specifically designed for this podcast, where we're guessing an actor today. Then I got some news, where I left out some amazing snooze stories, where I left out some important bits, and you got to fill in the blanks on that. But before we do that, we got to get to everyone's favorite segment. So let's get started. Let's go!
Alright, Tom, it is now time for Tom's Topics!
Alright, Tom, what is Tom's Topics? A-Ooo!

**Tom** (2:01)
Well, so this week, I was fortunate enough to go to the All-Star Game, and I also, this week, was the World Cup Final. Two hot tickets, I would say. You know, expensive tickets, maybe, for you. Hot tickets, hard to get. And I was wondering, are people doing the old conjoined twin thing at all, ever? You know, like, hey, we got a ticket, you know, it's our ticket, let's...
All right, we'll be going to our set, ticket for one, you know? Is that a thing? Has anyone ever really tried that?

**Matt** (2:42)
I'll tell you where you can get away with that. As you can get away with that, you gotta have like, has anyone here ever been to a game in South Bend, Notre Dame?

**Tom** (2:51)
I have. The bench.

**Matt** (2:53)
No. The bench. You need a bench, because the problem is, it's seats, right?
It's seats. Seats are your enemy. Maybe standing room. Maybe standing room.

**Tom** (3:05)
Yeah?

**Matt** (3:05)
Yeah. Seats are your enemy. You get a bench or some standing room? I don't see what the problem is here.

**Tom** (3:09)
I'm talking strictly standing room. You can join twins.

**Matt** (3:13)
We bought a ticket.

**Liam** (3:14)
I think they can be. Most of them are two legs, two arms, right?

**Matt** (3:20)
So you're saying separate tickets?

**Liam** (3:23)
No, no, no. I'm saying they both, like just like a single person, you have two arms and two legs, and they can join twins, and they have two arms and two legs, so they should fit.

**Matt** (3:34)
Nick Foles got three legs.

**Bern** (3:36)
How many?

**Matt** (3:37)
How many asses?

**Bern** (3:38)
How many asses do they have?

**Matt** (3:40)
Yeah. We're talking about asses in the seat.

**Tom** (3:42)
We're talking about two asses.

**SPEAKER_4** (3:45)
We're talking about...

**Bern** (3:47)
Back to back, left to right.

**Tom** (3:49)
We're talking conjoined at the shoulder.

**Bern** (3:52)
Okay.

**Matt** (3:53)
We're going two arms, two arms, four legs, two asses.

**Bern** (3:59)
It's all about asses, man. How many asses are taking up the seats?

**Matt** (4:03)
You gotta count legs. What if we're standing room?

**Liam** (4:05)
Like, how wide are we?

**Bern** (4:06)
You know what I mean?

**Matt** (4:07)
Or standing room. Well, if they stand wide to fit in a seat, you gotta have a bench.

**Bern** (4:12)
I'll tell you what, sitting down, that's two tickets. Standing room, if they move sideways, I'll let them slide on one. Sure.

**Tom** (4:20)
I'll let them slide on one. Well, not only that, we were sitting next to some behemoth. I mean, he was barely in the seat next to us.

**Liam** (4:28)
I mean, he was all over.

**Tom** (4:29)
He was overflowing like a fat lady wearing loafer shoes.

**Matt** (4:35)
Like Mrs. Mazzoli's, the librarian's shoes. Baking bread in her flit in her slides.

**Bern** (4:42)
It was one ticket, but it was more than one standard ass, is what you're saying. More than one standard side ass.

**Tom** (4:49)
100 percent.

**SPEAKER_3** (4:51)
This is a real question.

**Tom** (4:54)
Two skinny people together, I mean, they're probably less than, you know, maybe you do a lap thing. I don't know.

**SPEAKER_4** (5:00)
Sit on a lap.

**Matt** (5:02)
I mean, they have made over these people buy two tickets on airplanes, you know.

**Liam** (5:08)
Just getting in.

**Matt** (5:10)
Right. I mean, they're like those airplaneers.

**Tom** (5:12)
You're working the ticket office. You get two people that are a conjoined person that comes up. They hand you one ticket.

**Liam** (5:20)
I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say I'm letting them roll. They've probably dealt with enough at this point.
