Hello, everyone, and welcome to Between The Sheets, episode number 5, 155, 555 Michinoku Pro Zellner, joined us all by my co-staff David Bixenspan. Bix, we got an issue show this week, as we'll go back to 1994 And yeah, let's see here. Let me glance real quick. There's something I want to check.
Oh, yes. So we will be having someone that's on this show that currently hates your guts right now on social media.
**David Bixenspan** (0:54)
Wait, what?
**Kris Zellner** (0:56)
We'll be talking about someone on this show that currently hates your guts on social media.
**David Bixenspan** (0:59)
Oh, talking about someone on this show. I thought you were thinking we were going to have someone on this.
**Kris Zellner** (1:03)
No, surprise. No, I'm not going to do that. But yes, we will definitely be talking about at one point in this show, one, Brian Gerard James.
**David Bixenspan** (1:15)
I don't know if he even hates my guts or anything. All I know is I didn't do anything. I don't know what's going on there.
I guess you're going to make me talk about that during half time.
**Kris Zellner** (1:26)
But you know nothing. Well, who knows what? I mean, we'll be recording half time the day after we record this. But yeah, that was an interesting thing that happened on social media here on Wednesday, August 19th.
**David Bixenspan** (1:41)
August 19th.
**Kris Zellner** (1:45)
But yeah, so we got 1994 this week. And we've done around this, this show.
This is, this was, let's see, the Clash was the week after.
The Summer Slam. All that was it, was it Clash, Summer Slam? Was it Dream Slam also? There was a lot in that week that we did on show 369 I was 24th through the 30th. And we did the week before this on show 108 So if you guys want to listen to those shows, the Sandwich shows, then there you go. But anyway, so yeah, let's go to the week before.
**David Bixenspan** (2:29)
So this is the lucky pair?
**Kris Zellner** (2:32)
I guess so.
**David Bixenspan** (2:33)
Oh, and Joe Gagney was on that show. Joe Gagney, who did the first Joe versus the World in five years, like a week or two ago, to celebrate the 20th anniversary.
**Kris Zellner** (2:45)
Yeah. So, week of August 16th to 23rd. So we got eight days, eight day week here in 1994
**David Bixenspan** (2:52)
Yes.
**Kris Zellner** (2:53)
And we start World Championship Wrestling.
**David Bixenspan** (2:56)
Thank you, by the way, for the jump scare that Hiro had changed his mind about coming on the show. I really appreciate it.
**Kris Zellner** (3:02)
Oh, because I'm never going to spring a surprise guest on you like that, not like that. Not to say it might happen one day, but not like that.
So Hulk Hogan is very candid during our week here to John Patton of the Gainesville Sun in Gainesville, Florida.
Hulk Hogan responded to public with a lot of criticism thrown his way in an August 22nd interview with John Patton, including comments on Randy Savage and Bret Hart. Oh, this will all be interesting. When asked about Savage's comments about him, Hogan, who has never responded to the subject publicly before, said, I feel there's two kinds of people in this world, winners and losers. Whatever his personal problems were with his wife, that's his problem. He shouldn't drag other people into it. If he screwed up and can't keep his marriage together, he shouldn't blame other people for it. He should be able to handle his own problems. I considered him a friend.
**SPEAKER_3** (3:57)
Yes, but he was just using me.
**Kris Zellner** (3:59)
Hulk Hogan made him seven figures. If it wasn't for Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage would have never gotten to the level he did or made the money he did. Without Hulk Hogan, that doesn't happen. I thought we were friends, but it turns out he was just using me.
So, if you're speaking a character, does that still mean you're speaking a third person?
**David Bixenspan** (4:22)
I don't know. I mean, based on what we've heard from other people, it seems like he's in the right about how he's reacting to the Liz comments at least.
**Kris Zellner** (4:36)
Well, yeah, but boy, it's just that finishing the reek of service was going to happen in a matter of four months.
**David Bixenspan** (4:43)
Less than four months.
**Kris Zellner** (4:44)
Well, less than four months, yes. So and I mean, it was going to happen anyway.
But where is Savage if he doesn't get Hogan? What is Savage if Hogan decides to reek root him? You know, because, I mean, you can see where Hulk Hogan for a different reason would say, I don't want to work with that guy.
