Hello, everyone, and welcome to Between The Sheets, episode number 552 I'm your host, Kris Zellner, joined as always with my co-host David Bixenspan. And Bix, it's been a while since we've had a guest on our show.
You know, we had our time off there and then we've just been doing a lot of shows lately. Just me and you.

**David Bixenspan** (0:36)
Yes. Well, I guess we kind of had a guest on the Patreon show the other day. When, bro, we talked about my vinyl collection.

**Kris Zellner** (0:44)
Yeah, but I mean, Dom was the last guest we had on the show, on episode 540 in January.
So yes, we haven't had a guest since then. And with this show that we had coming up, I figured it was time to go back to one of our favorites, basically the third member Between The Sheets in a lot of ways. And it's been since the Christmas show since he's been on. So this is the longest absence from being on the show. And a lot's happened since then, in many ways. As we are joined by our dear friend, the one, the only, the King of Kingsport, and now King of Huntsville, Beau James. Beau, welcome back.

Happy to be back. It seems like it's been a decade.

Yeah.

Now, I have a question for you, Beau, now that you're becoming a more polished podcaster. Was it obvious to you that I was trying to cue up that we should be plugging the new Patreon show when it was oblivious to Kris, or was I just doing a bad job?

**Beau James** (1:44)
Well, I was going to plug it. Oh, thank you.

Well, but the seven parts that I have listened to of the Destination Cancellation, I think is some of the best work you guys have done. I think so. It's very in-depth, very entertaining, and God, there were so many moving parts and so many different pieces and people and everything involved in that time, including me, I was involved in there at one point in time, me and Randy promoting towns for TNA at that time.
I forgot how much of a mess it was and just how ass-backwards everything that they did was until I sit here and listen to the last seven weeks.

**David Bixenspan** (2:35)
Did you like Kristen's Dixie impression?

**Beau James** (2:38)
Yes, so did Judy Lee. She popped for it every time she heard it.

**Kris Zellner** (2:48)
It's from my own experiences.

**Beau James** (2:50)
Yes, well, we grew up around people like her. We've known that person all of our lives.

**Kris Zellner** (2:58)
Well, on part eight, the epilogue, it's not really part eight, but the epilogue, which is now available on patreon.com/between The Sheets, where we went into the stuff that Vince Russo wrote in his book about the time period, Dey Sahadi wrote in his book, and then the social media discourse between Dave Meltzer, Vince Russo, Mike Johnson, over what really happened with the cancellation on Spite TV. We get into all that, and it's quite the show, as Bix does the heavy lifting in the show, reading a lot of Russo stuff, in the Russo Boyz.
But we get into a story that Dey Sahadi tells about Dixie Carter talking shit on a Destination America executive in a hotel bar before they even start on Destination America.

Well, and you overheard her. He was nearby.

**Kris Zellner** (3:47)
Yeah. And the thing is, and Beau knows this, I mean, some of these Southern women, you get a couple of drinks in them, and they're going to let it loose. They don't give a damn what they say. They're going to let you know.

**Beau James** (4:01)
Just wait till early next year, 2027, when It Ain't Nothing Like It Once Was, and Neither Am I comes out. I'm going to read the next book on my life in wrestling, because there's a whole chapter about me dealing with TNA when I worked for them for that six months, and just how asinined everything and every conversation I had with anybody other than Bob Ryder, Randy Hales or Jeff Jarrett was.

**Kris Zellner** (4:30)
Yeah. And then, God forbid, if we ever get to do a show on the era of TNA, when you had social luminaries as Burt Prentiss, Bill Barron and Mike Porter with Bob Ryder.
TNA is something that is history.

**Beau James** (4:50)
Waiting on their prom dates to show up to do extra work.
