Hello, everyone, and welcome to Between The Sheets, episode number 551 I'm Chris Zellner, joining as always my co-host David Bixenspan and Bix. We really haven't talked about this as much. But this episode closes out our 11th year of Between The Sheets, basically. Oh, yeah.
Because our first episode covered the week of July 20th through the 26th of 1989 And on this week's show, we're going to flash forward one calendar year.

**David Bixenspan** (0:49)
So is this the 11th anniversary or is next week?

**Kris Zellner** (0:54)
Well, next week is, I guess this is the end of our 11th year. So, which, you know, this would, if we would have set on our normal track, this would have been show 572

**David Bixenspan** (1:07)
Yes.

**Kris Zellner** (1:08)
But it's 551 because we took 21 weeks off. But, yeah, so yeah, next week begins year number 12

**David Bixenspan** (1:18)
21 weeks off today. We did not take 21 weeks off this year.

**Kris Zellner** (1:22)
Well, yeah, but we didn't take too many weeks off before then. So, anyway, yeah, so yeah, it's something that show one was July 20, 2026, and here we are again, July 20, 2026, and this time is 1990 And this is like a throwback to the original shows, notes-wise, because this is a low page count for notes, but that's all right.

**David Bixenspan** (1:48)
And well, we need to talk about page.

Next week, we'll make up for it.

Oh, you son of a bitch.

But as you find that later on, there is a reason why we'll make up for it, because there's a major story, during that week, that covers a lot of space.

I see you were deliberately trying to avoid saying it that way at first, though. Because you've been just subconsciously saying.

Yeah.

A story, La Greca. But yes, we do need to talk about the Patreon show first, before we get into everything.

Part seven of seven. We had planned for seven, and we're done with the seventh show. And as things were going on, as we were doing the week of the seventh show, between Vince Russo's book, Dave Zotti's book, and all the social media stuff from Dark Side of the Ring, the three-parter on TNA, Bix got enough to do an epilogue.
So yeah, we'll have an epilogue to Destination Cancellation.

Yes, we dove away from the newsletters and got to some press releases and some talk to Sports Illustrated and stuff like that, that Brad Schwartz and Dixie Carter did. So, yes, I got to reenact Dixie Carter once again on this show.

**David Bixenspan** (4:00)
Well, we also went back in time for something I missed when Dixie Carter spoke to R Thomas Umstead at Multichannel News at the beginning of Destination America.

I'm not promising nothing, that's what I'm gonna say.
I mean, the way we're going, Bix, we're on a roll right now of doing things. Things could change. We probably don't need to promise anything to anybody.

The idea is to promise something we were planning on doing anyway, Chris, Wink Wink. But yes, anyway, just everything getting worse with TNA and their relationship with Destination America. More people leaving TNA. The Harris twins taking over production for some reason. Wink Wink. Several weeks of beat down Klan segments having to get pulled from TV because Sean Hernandez was still under Lucha Underground contract. MVP getting fired as a result for some reason. Ring of Honor losing their prime time slot and just being limited till 11 p.m. Nobody still saying anything publicly from either side. The Dixie Sports Illustrated interview.
