Cliff Barackman (0:31)

Bobo, how are you doing, man?

James Fay (0:32)

Good, how are you?

Cliff Barackman (0:33)

Far too busy as usual, but it looks like if I can hang in here just another four or five days, I'll have another day off. So, looking forward to it.

James Fay (0:41)

Nice.

Cliff Barackman (0:41)

Yeah, been out in the woods doing documentary stuff. We got some great vocalizations, Bigfoot's for a round and all that sort of stuff, but I guess you'll have to wait to see the documentary to hear about all that whenever that's gonna be released. But man, I think it's gonna be pretty good.

James Fay (0:54)

Sounds like it. I'm excited to see it.

Cliff Barackman (0:57)

Yeah, yeah, this is not gonna be a normal Bigfoot documentary. I don't think this is gonna be like, did you hear that sort of stuff in the woods? It's gonna be something else entirely. But you know what? Forget about that. Forget about me. Forget about all that sort of stuff. Because we do have something else entirely on the podcast today. One of our favorite people in the world. Yes, Bobo is on the podcast. He came.

Excellent. No, but Bobo is always here. He does occasionally have other obligations as do we all. But today we have a fantastic guest. I know he's a great guest. He's also just one of our best friends in the Bigfoot world. Someone that we love tremendously, have been out on adventures with, in the woods, have filmed with, and we occasionally get to cross paths doing gigs and whatnot.

Bobo, you know who it is. You want to introduce him?

James Fay (1:38)

The world renowned, world's most experienced, broad-based cryptozoologist, Adam Davies. Thank you.

Matt Pruitt (1:47)

Thank you, guys.

Adam Davies (1:48)

It's great to be here.

Matt Pruitt (1:49)

Can I ask a technical question real quick that has always plagued me and I've never actually asked, is it Davis or Davies?

Adam Davies (1:57)

It's Davis.

Matt Pruitt (1:59)

That's what I've been saying.

Adam Davies (2:00)

But I'm not precious. Yeah, I'm just not precious about it because in America, with it being IES, everyone says Davies, and I just don't care, in a way, I just don't care. You can call me Davies or Davis, it's all cool.

Cliff Barackman (2:16)

Davis, no kidding, I've known you all these years.

Adam Davies (2:18)

Yeah, because I've never thought it was important to tell you that, Cliff, it's just not a worry to me.

Cliff Barackman (2:24)

I get it. Names aren't important anyway, I see right through them to your soul.

Adam Davies (2:27)

Names are only for tombstones, baby.

Cliff Barackman (2:31)

Use them while you got them.

Matt Pruitt (2:34)

I've been saying Davis on the podcast and to people like on the boat, I was just on the Alaska cruise with Adam and everyone else says Davies, and I'm like, I'm pretty sure it's Davies. I learned the pronunciation from the spelling from the kinks, from Ray Davis. Exactly, from hearing interviews with the kinks. And so I was like, I meant to ask before we hit record, but now our listeners have all learned at the same rate that the rest of us have.

James Fay (2:57)

Well, it's not Ray Davies.

Adam Davies (2:59)

Well, no, he's no relation either. I don't know the Queen and I don't know Ray Davis, even though I'm British.

Cliff Barackman (3:06)

What do you think about the royal family? What's up with that, man? It's kind of weird, don't you think?

Adam Davies (3:09)

What do I think about it? That wasn't the question I expected. From you, Cliff and I, Cliff.

But I'll tell you what I think.

I think what you have to understand is there is no constitution in the same way as the America has its constitution with all the checks and balances. Having a head of state who is not a politician is useful because it acts as a check and balance. It's not the king now, of course. It's not that I worship the king as a little god. He has a job to do within British society. He's not there to overrule politicians. He's not there to tell me what to do. He's there to represent Britain and to put its best foot forward. That's why I think it's useful for Britain, and it wouldn't work in other countries, say.

Cliff Barackman (4:05)

Are you still a citizen of the UK?

Adam Davies (4:07)

I'm a dual national.

No kidding. Yeah, I'm a citizen of both America and the UK.

Cliff Barackman (4:13)

Nice. The American part of that is pretty recent, isn't it? Like the last couple of years? Yeah.
