Ginger Hubbard (2:16)

Well, hey there, Alex. I am so excited for today's episode because it's one that affects us all. Culture tells us that quality time with our kids is enough, but children are shaped in the everyday moments.

That's something that parents raising kids in today's busy world, who are always on the go and always pushing themselves to do more and more, can have a really hard time grasping. So, that's why we're thrilled to have today's guest joining us to talk about some practical tools and, as always, biblical encouragement for living intentionally and discipling with purpose. Alex, how about introducing us to Elise?

Alex Cody (3:00)

Sure. Elise Orozco spent nearly 20 years building a successful corporate career in HR before stepping away to stay at home with her two boys.

Elise and her mom founded Raising Rock to equip families to raise children who are respectful, obedient, courageous, and kind through biblical resources, children's books, and devotionals. Elise has a deep love for public speaking, whether that's addressing women's groups, church gatherings, retreats, conferences, or joining as a podcast guest. Elise, thank you so much for joining us today, and welcome to our podcast.

Elise Orozco (3:40)

Thank you so much for having me. It's a joy to be here.

Ginger Hubbard (3:44)

Elise, I love that you and your mom started that ministry together. Isn't it such a joy to get to work together as mother and daughter?

Elise Orozco (3:53)

It is such a joy and such an unexpected blessing. Never what either of us planned for our life, but here we are and the Lord is just blessing it, and it's so, so sweet, so, so, so fun.

Ginger Hubbard (4:05)

Yeah, I sure love working with Alex. It's just been such a blessing of just mother-daughter time and just even best friend. She's my best friend, so it's fun to get to do that.

Elise Orozco (4:17)

Even though I'm working with her, I feel like I still call her like 12 times a day about not work stuff. I'm just like still blowing up her phone all the time.

Alex Cody (4:25)

Mom, how do I do this? How do I do that?

Ginger Hubbard (4:27)

Yeah, that's how we are. Always need your mama. Yeah, that's right. I'm 57 I call my mama all the time for advice and council and all the things and just to tell her what's going on.
