Scott (0:24)

Hey, team, welcome back to the movies. Ryan, how the hell are you?

Ryan (0:29)

What's happening, Hoops?

Scott (0:31)

Whoo, Cod.

Mike (0:32)

Wet Sunday morning.

Scott (0:34)

yeah, it is.

Ryan (0:34)

Right up top of the little weather, from the madam.

Scott (0:38)

And let's send you over to our new weatherman, Mike Connelly, how are you?

Mike (0:42)

It was a dicey drive in this morning.

Scott (0:44)

I know, it was dicey, I was like, oh, she was sucking on my gag.

SPEAKER_4 (0:51)

We hydroplained right into a bussy, oh!

Ryan (0:57)

That was exactly what I was gonna do. Couple of hacks.

Scott (1:00)

We're back, we're talking about the new Robert Pattinson movie, Primetime, now in theaters, the new Macon Blair movie, Idiots, and much more in our reviews. And I don't know if we want to talk about it in reviews, but did either of you watch any of the Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson, Apple TV show Brothers, where they play themselves?

Mike (1:24)

I thought about it a couple of times.

Ryan (1:25)

Yeah, do we need it?

Scott (1:27)

It's bad.

Mike (1:28)

I saw the reviews were bad, so.

Scott (1:29)

I thought it was...

It came off annoying and made me like both of them a little less. They leaned too hard into, like, their whole schtick. I don't know.

Mike (1:39)

Aren't they, like, really potentially brothers or something like that?

Scott (1:43)

I don't know if it's based on true events, but the show posits them as themselves, yeah, like learning they might be related. Yeah.

Ryan (1:52)

I don't...

Scott (1:53)

It's the kind of thing you can tell they're having fun because they're friends and they're just enjoying each other's company, but it doesn't make for a compelling watch.

Ryan (2:01)

They both had such a run Hollywood-wise that they're pretty much just doing a victory lap at this point. Like, whatever they want to do, the project gets funded.

Matthew McConaughey gets paid to just talk a lot. He did a weird book about like nothing.

Scott (2:15)

Green lights.

Ryan (2:16)

Yeah, I listened to all of it.

Scott (2:17)

That's a green light. I listened to it, too. What did you like about it?

Mike (2:20)

He's got a good voice.

Scott (2:21)

It's a green light. It's just him over and over again being like just, you know, throwing like, hey, just keep it easy breezy, man. That's a green light right there.

Ryan (2:30)

I'm going to write a book called Red Lights, and it's just all the negative stuff I have to say.

Scott (2:34)

I'll read it.

Ryan (2:35)

What do you think?

Scott (2:36)

I'm in.

Mike (2:36)

That's almost everything you have to say.

Scott (2:38)

It's true.

Ryan (2:38)

I got a lot of negativity to go around.

Scott (2:41)

Did you guys see that evidently they're making Gremlins 3?

Mike (2:46)

For nobody.

Scott (2:46)

They released a little teaser. Christopher Columbus, who directed the Home Alone movies.

Mike (2:53)

And Harry Potter films.

Scott (2:54)

That's true.

SPEAKER_4 (2:55)

I think he did the first two of those.

Ryan (2:56)

Harry Potter.

Scott (2:57)

He's set to direct. It seems a little late for a Gremlins movie. I feel like they missed their window.

Mike (3:05)

I hate the Gremlins movies. You don't say.

Scott (3:07)

They're fun.

Ryan (3:08)

I remember liking them when I was a child. I don't think I've thought about them or seen them. Is there two?

Scott (3:13)

Yeah.

Ryan (3:14)

Yeah. I remember the second one being fun. I remember we rented it on VHS the weekend of Thanksgiving when I was young.

And I remember getting a kick out of it then. Yeah. But I've not even thought about it since.

Scott (3:25)

They're fun, goofy, like horror comedies.

Ryan (3:28)

Here's a question.

Scott (3:29)

They have practical effects. And it's got gizmo. He's a charming little guy. Yeah.

Ryan (3:33)

What about the female gremlin?

Mike (3:34)

Wood?

What? No.

Ryan (3:39)

She's a sassy lady.

Mike (3:40)

There's a sexy gremlin? Kind of.

I could look this up. That's not your mother.

Scott (3:47)

And the fact that the writers of Final Destination Bloodlines are writing the script, and that gives me hope for gremlins 3 Wait, this thing? No, I'm not kidding. Yeah, I have sex with that.

Ryan (4:00)

No good?

Scott (4:01)

Yeah, I'm in.

Ryan (4:01)

Dump water all over or make her even bigger?

Mike (4:03)

Is that how that works? I don't know.

Scott (4:05)

People love to argue about the like, the bit in gremlins is don't feed them after midnight. Yeah. Then people have to be like, isn't it always after midnight? Like, what's the cutoff for when you can start feeding them again? And it is kind of an annoying thing.
