Hey, team, welcome back to the movies. How are we doing?

**Mike** (0:29)
I'm excited, Scott. It's the big Steven Spielberg.

**Ryan** (0:32)
Whenever you do a somber, hey, team, it throws me, because I'm waiting to adjust the level to make it perfect, and then I don't have to, and then it throws me off.

**Scott** (0:41)
It's fine.

**Ryan** (0:43)
Good morning.

**Mike** (0:44)
Hi.

**Scott** (0:47)
Did we see the Tom Cruise, his big Instagram post, about supporting the movies, saying nothing better than a Summer Spielberg movie in a packed theater with friends. He was with Dakota Fanning, who he starred in More of the Worlds with, and Colin Farrell, who he starred in Steven Spielberg's Minority Report. And they're all there supporting Stevie's new movie.

**Mike** (1:13)
Yeah. Cruise had a big week. I think he went to the soccer game too.

**Scott** (1:18)
The soccer game?

**Mike** (1:20)
I don't know.

**Scott** (1:20)
The World Cup match.

**Mike** (1:21)
The World Cup game.

**Ryan** (1:22)
Are we in the sports corner?

**Mike** (1:23)
In LA.

**Ryan** (1:24)
Madame taking us down to the corner.
Yeah, I think Cruise, the energy that he has at his age is awesome to see. And I don't know why, like, who, I don't know if we were talking about this or what, but somebody mentioned Cruise's mortality, how he's like 60, whatever, years old. And it bummed me out. And I started thinking about, like, not a lot of movie stars left, period, you know? Like, we're going to be left with, like, Timmy Chalamet, who's fine and good, but, like, he's not Cruise. And I don't know, I want Cruise to live to be 100 And I don't want to see him doing, like, a Clint Eastwood trajectory, where you just, he looks super old and, like, the character becomes him. Like, we talked about last week how, like, the whole, the punchline or, like, the point of Clint's character is that how old he is. I don't need to see that at a Cruise.

**Scott** (2:10)
I thought, when you get to the point, if you're still doing stuff, you gotta, you're gonna be old at some point.

**Mike** (2:15)
Did you see these pictures of him? He looks a little puffy.

**Scott** (2:18)
A puffy?

**Ryan** (2:18)
That's a thing that happens to him sometimes. And then, like, it'll go away and he'll look jacked again. And it's an interesting, like, his face changes.

**Mike** (2:25)
I don't know if it's from the, like, work he's had done, but he just looks a little weird.

**Ryan** (2:29)
Could be, like, a Botox thing.

**Mike** (2:31)
Could be.
Or a steroid. Not, like, steroids, like, you know, get jacked, but steroids can-

**Scott** (2:37)
A prednisone?

**Mike** (2:37)
Yeah, that can have an impact on you.

**Ryan** (2:39)
The moon face, if you will. I don't think he's a big drinker, if at all, right?

**Mike** (2:42)
Oh, I bet you doesn't touch anything like that.

**Scott** (2:45)
He went on to say, Steven, thank you for all the hours of joy you've given us in the cinema. It has been a great honor and pleasure to have worked with you and to call you my friend.

**Mike** (2:53)
Those two had a pretty public breakup, it seemed like.

**Scott** (2:57)
Well, I think War of the Worlds came out. That's when Tom Cruise did his, like, his big Scientology, I'm crazy stuff.

**Mike** (3:04)
Yeah, the Lauer interview, the couch.

**Scott** (3:07)
I think he was probably mad that that stuff overshadowed the film, which I rewatched recently. I think their War of the Worlds is quite good.

**Mike** (3:16)
I like it.

**Scott** (3:16)
Except when Tim Robbins enters the movie, I think it takes a notable downtick, equality.

**Mike** (3:23)
That's like 30 minutes of the movie, too.

**Scott** (3:25)
It's like the end. So it really kind of slows to a crawl. But it's quite good up until then.

**Mike** (3:33)
I want to talk about Spielberg, but we got to get through news first.

**Scott** (3:35)
I know we're going to...

**Ryan** (3:36)
The amount of excitement you have over Spielberg is upsetting me.

**Mike** (3:40)
Oh, yeah.

**Ryan** (3:40)
You've been like squirming in your seat for four days. You love the movie. You love Spielberg. I just want to dump a big bucket of ice cold water all over you.

**Mike** (3:49)
You have terrible taste in things.

**Ryan** (3:52)
I was hoping that'd set you up for something. Speaking of my terrible taste, Scott's going to be with me on this one.
Saw 11 Is that real?

**Scott** (4:04)
I don't know where you get your news, so I can't vouch for this.
