Very spooky.
SPEAKER_2 (0:22)
Hey.
SPEAKER_1 (0:23)
Hello, we're back.
SPEAKER_2 (0:25)
We're back.
SPEAKER_1 (0:25)
Back in the circus tent.
SPEAKER_2 (0:26)
It's Two Girls One Ghost.
SPEAKER_1 (0:28)
Two Girls One Ghost. And we are your ghostesses. That is Corinne, Clown Corinne, Clown Sabrina. Here we are. And we're here to tell you ghost stories sent in to our email, to our inbox, twogirlsonegostpodcast.gmail.com by all of you, our very haunted, freakish listeners. And we picked another theme this week in celebration of what is to come in a couple of weeks from now, witchcraft. Witches.
And my goodness, there are many of you who are witches, who listen to our podcast, but there are also many who have been cursed by witches.
SPEAKER_2 (1:06)
It's an interesting thing. I feel like being called a witch, it goes back and forth from being a compliment to not. And right now, I feel like if someone called me a witch, I would be like one of the highest of compliments. But it doesn't mean that there aren't people and practitioners out there that are doing things a little, maybe not the way we would do it.
SPEAKER_1 (1:23)
Listen, there's good and bad in this universe. Good people, bad people, and good witches and bad witches, also the same could be said.
SPEAKER_2 (1:32)
Let the witchcraft commence.
SPEAKER_1 (1:34)
I have one about a witch that poisoned a father.
SPEAKER_2 (1:37)
Oh.
SPEAKER_1 (1:38)
Yeah. This is from our listener.
SPEAKER_2 (1:40)
I feel like you find a lot like this. It's always like someone's dad or uncle's dying from a witchcraft curse.
SPEAKER_1 (1:46)
Specifically, I wanted to find one where someone was cursed by a witch. This is from our listener, Sophie. And yeah, it's called, My dad was poisoned by a jealous witch.
Why do I keep on- interchanging exclamation point and question mark. It's a question mark, but there's probably an exclamation. Yeah.
SPEAKER_2 (2:03)
In there.
SPEAKER_1 (2:03)
Hello. I have been a faithful viewer, and I did send you an email this past May about the one and only spooky experience I have had in my life. It was about a bird that announces death. We'll have to read that another time. But today, as I'm watching your Mexico special episode, I remembered what happened to my father before I was born. I've always loved conspiracies, legends, and so on, but I've always been fairly skeptical. As we say in my country, I only believe in what I see.
Since I have not seen anything yet, I don't fully believe in anything, although I'm fairly open to it. However, there is this story, episode, thing, I don't know what to call it, that happened to my father that has always left a very weird feeling inside of me every time I think of it.
I don't remember who I heard it from, but in this story, there are four people you want to keep in mind, my mom, my dad, and my childhood friends' parents. Our fathers were close friends in childhood, and my parents are my friends' godparents, so pretty much family. So four people, Sophie's mom, Sophie's dad, and the two friends of a childhood friend.
Before my parents had me, they lived in an apartment with pretty much an open door policy. People would come and go as they pleased, they would appear for lunch or dinner without even calling first because they knew my parents would welcome them with open arms and so on. Although they were quite a popular couple and had lots of friends, there were a few people who were jealous of my mother. My mom says this because my father was apparently the catch of the village.
SPEAKER_2 (3:38)
Oh.
SPEAKER_1 (3:38)
Yeah. So people wanted what she had.
And people would criticize my parents behind their backs after just having been at their apartment. Rude.
SPEAKER_2 (3:48)
So rude.
SPEAKER_1 (3:48)
After you welcomed them into your home. So one day, all of a sudden, my father fell seriously ill with cold sweats, stomach pains, throwing up all the time. Both my parents went a few times to the hospital, but every time they went, the doctors would say that my father was healthy as a horse, and they didn't understand why he was feeling like that.
This went on for weeks. My father lost quite a lot of weight and could hardly eat anything. Being the usual Southern European woman that believes everything in the occult, my mom asked my friend's parents to help her find a healer or a witch to go to. Bear in mind that my father likes to pretend that he doesn't believe in anything supernatural, so they did all of this behind his back. They ended up finding someone who told them that somebody from my parents entourage had actually cursed my father and that they should look throughout the apartment for anything strange or out of place.
