And today, we're going to talk about ours, Jakob Sanderson, Ryan Heath here with our favorite picks right now at ADP, through the first six rounds of Dynasty Startup Drafts. I'm excited. Hello, everybody, welcome back to Dynasty Points, whether you're listening on Spotify or watching on the Dynasty YouTube channel here for fantasypoints.com. Jakob Sanderson, Ryan Heath, I'm your host, Thomas Tipple. Back in the saddle this week with an exciting episode, our favorite picks, and we weren't going to force conversations about players we weren't really interested in, so we agree on some of these. You're going to deep dive those players a little bit more than some of the others, but we've said before, it's really hard to miss in round one, yet over the last couple of years, we've had some misses in round one. And as I mentioned today, not going to the seventh round. So if your favorite player is from the seventh round and beyond, don't worry. It's just not happening this week. We are going to dive in to the later round. So CJ Stroud, you are marked safe today.
Let's talk about round one. Jakob, I'm going to kick this over to you for the first player we're going to talk about today. Someone that last year was my favorite player to jump this high in startup drafts, and here he is, and yet still, negativity coming for Caleb Williams.

Yeah, coming in just at the tail end of round one is my pick, and it's Caleb Williams.
You'll get a theme throughout today's program of me picking a lot of members of the Chicago Bears as some of my favorite picks after years of sparring with Bears fans online.
And really, to me, you can look at Caleb Williams' 2025 season, I think one of two ways.
There are some folks, certainly some folks that are on this YouTube channel, that will say, you know, if you look under the hood, Caleb Williams did not play as well as his reputation elevated him as such last season. And I think that that is completely reasonable. He definitely left a lot of plays on the field. You look at his catchable throw rate, not as strong. Completion percentage over expectation was extremely low, especially compared to the separation of his receivers. All that stuff is totally reasonable. I just look at this and I think, wow, you know, here's a guy who had all the pedigree in the world, one of the greater quarterback prospects we've seen in recent years.
And at least last year, I saw more than enough to be like, okay, at very least this guy can be an average NFL starting quarterback on town. I'm not worried about the floor dropping out. But I also think there is still a remaining ceiling for him to ascend much farther. It would not be that surprising if a really high pedigree quarterback took few years to reach his ultimate ceiling. Heck, we just saw Trevor Lawrence in like year six, finally take a massive leap last year. And yet, despite all of these issues and imperfections, he was still able to turn in a very strong fantasy season. He was still able to pilot a very dangerous offense. And that's also in just his first year with Ben Johnson. And with basically Luther Burden and Colston Loveland being full-time players for about half a season or arguably, Luther Burden almost never being a full-time player. Going into this year, I think that their skill group is going to take another step with those two excellent second-year players becoming more of a focal point in the offense. I think you're going to see a step from Caleb just as naturally as his third year in the NFL and another year with Ben Johnson. And I think that it's pretty plausible that he has as good of a chance as anyone to be the 101 or the 102 next year while just remaining what he was last year. I still think he probably is able to put up mid-QB1 to low-QB1 level stats and at worst fall back into the early to mid-second round. So I think there's a higher upside here from a value perspective than there is a ceiling. And it's always nice, of course, if you're in a super flex Dynasty startup, to just lock in that quarterback in round one and it takes some of the pressure off from trying to chase the position throughout the rest of the draft.
