Hello, everybody. Welcome to the Rotoworld Football Show, Tuesday, September 29th, 2026 I'm Patrick Daugherty, joined by Denny Carter, and we're also joined by a listless Eagles team, a surging Bears team, despite missing their quarterback. We'll get all the fallout from a somewhat surprising Monday night football game, including kind of the go-nowhere Eagles. The two-and-one Bears, albeit not in the fashion we've been expecting Denny Carter. Fancy production, still difficult to come by for the Stars, and we'll tackle this week's unfortunately large injury news. De'Von Achane lost for the season. Baker Mayfield lost for several weeks. Pukka Nakua, maybe or maybe not. Coming back, JJ. McCarthy, arriving in the big city. New York, Jim Harbaugh swearing he's not going to coup Mike McDaniel. Then we'll preview a huge Thursday night game on the Steelers at the Browns. All that and more when we come right back after this.

Denny, we're back. By the way, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention, I think I have to mention it later too, check out the Baseball Wild Card Playoffs on NBC and Pee-Doc. Check out Bears coach Ben Johnson. You've tried to truth a lot and you've given him a lot of bulletin board material. To be honest, you're not a believer, you're a bit of a hater. I've been a Ben Johnson quote Stan for a while now.

I like the evil geniuses. I have a soft spot for them. Even Belichick, I still find myself rooting for him at UNC. Wouldn't it be so funny?

Denny Carter (1:45)

I wish you hadn't told me that.

Patrick Daugherty (1:48)

Well, I like chaos, as you know.

I like chaos, but I also like winners. That's why I like Ben Johnson. Sounds like he doesn't like the people who maybe have doubted him. You have an update on the situation. What is it, Denny?

Denny Carter (2:00)

You have taken off your V for Vendetta mask and revealed your Joker makeup. You love chaos.

Yeah, so Ben Johnson, I mean this guy, this guy is online.

Patrick Daugherty (2:12)

I was going to say this guy, surely no way he has time to be scrolling.

Denny Carter (2:15)

Right.

Look, all we hear all the time from these head coaches is, I don't have time to eat, to bathe. I haven't seen my kid in four years. It's because I have to prepare for the opposing nickel defense. Come on, you could do that in 15 minutes and go.

Patrick Daugherty (2:31)

You don't get it. They're running a 3-3-5, all right?

Denny Carter (2:34)

Just so anyway, Ben Johnson has time to scroll. We know this because in his post-game presser, and he was looking so smug after he easily beat the Eagles with Case Keenum, literal Case Keenum at quarterback.

Patrick Daugherty (2:50)

Denny's internal mind is like, you wipe that smile off your face. The Jets will wipe it off in week four.

Denny Carter (2:57)

That's right, my Jets. And Ben Johnson said, so I guess I can win with a quarterback who wasn't drafted first overall in the NFL draft. And what he meant by that was, there were several stories last week that came out that said, look, Ben Johnson is in a tough spot. We don't know if he's actually good because he's always coached the number one overall pick. Now, Jared Goff, technically the number one overall pick. We know that that was fraudulent.

Caleb Williams, number one pick, that was legit. But so he saw that and then he referenced it in his post-game presser. I just have to credit my guy, Ben Johnson, for being so petty and so online.

Patrick Daugherty (3:34)

He's so petty is what's fueling the rise. Basically, what he's saying is, I was told Steph can't shoot.

Because there's maybe one or two people who possibly made that point and no one made that point in good faith.

Denny Carter (3:48)

I thought it was a funny thing to say when I read it. I did read it last week and I was like, I don't really know what this is about. And he took a little jab at Jared Goff and he said, he said, look guys, I actually do have experience coaching a quarterback who can't move.

Patrick Daugherty (4:06)

Yeah, that's what fuels greatness though, is all time extreme pettiness, Denny. Then it's either that Sean McVeigh petty, what is going on with Sean McVeigh this year? Because McVeigh is angry for the first time ever.

He is so mad, Denny, about the Australia thing. The only other person who can't let it go is me. I feel like he's been in a foul mood ever since they had to take, ever since it was announced they had to take this.
