Only Sacks can lose 20 pounds and look worse.

**Chamath Palihapitiya** (0:04)
Sacks, you know, with all these gains and all your funds, I would really love for you to cash some out and buy a belt.

**David Friedberg** (0:10)
Ask your wife or your house manager to help you find slim fit shirts at the local Macy's.

**Jason Calacanis** (0:15)
You'd literally look like you're wearing a parachute.

**David Sacks** (0:17)
I've never worn slim fit anything.

**Jason Calacanis** (0:19)
Stand up for a second, stand up.

**David Sacks** (0:21)
I can't, I'm not wearing pants.

**Jason Calacanis** (0:26)
Oh my god. Can somebody call HR, are you really not wearing pants?

**David Sacks** (0:30)
No, I got shorts on.

**Jason Calacanis** (0:31)
No, that's not true.

**Chamath Palihapitiya** (0:33)
Are you really wearing shorts?

**Jason Calacanis** (0:35)
No, he's not, he's lying.

**Chamath Palihapitiya** (0:38)
Put your leg up.

**Jason Calacanis** (0:39)
Show us that pasty leg. No fucking way.
Oh my god.

**Chamath Palihapitiya** (0:43)
Oh my god. How big are those shorts? That's incredible.

**Jason Calacanis** (0:46)
He's like Dom DeLuise and he lost a hundred pounds.

**Chamath Palihapitiya** (0:49)
He didn't change his wardrobe.

**David Friedberg** (0:51)
Change your wardrobe.

**Chamath Palihapitiya** (0:52)
Oh my god. Those are like two toothpicks sticking out of a tent.

**Jason Calacanis** (0:57)
It's like somebody set up a circus tent and didn't tie down the ends. He's wearing a parachute and a circus tent.
Hey everybody! Hey, everybody. Welcome to another episode of the All-In Podcast with us today. Podcast. With us again today, the dictator Chamath Palihapitiya and the queen of Kin Wav, David Friedberg in front of some bad art and from the mausoleum, a schveldt, fighting weight minus 20 pounds, the Rain Man himself, David Sacks.

**David Sacks** (1:49)
You guys gave me the motivation.
I mean, this podcast, you fat shamed me, you needled me for months. And I'm like, okay, I'm going to lose the weight. So I've lost it.

**Jason Calacanis** (2:00)
What was your peak weight in the last 12 months?

**David Sacks** (2:03)
I think I was at in the high 190s. And I'm down to about 172 now. So it's about 25 pounds.

**Jason Calacanis** (2:11)
Wow.

**David Sacks** (2:11)
Since about April or May.

**Chamath Palihapitiya** (2:13)
That's really great, bro.

**Jason Calacanis** (2:14)
That's fantastic.

**Chamath Palihapitiya** (2:15)
I mean, honestly, your family thanks you. I thank you as a friend, too. No, but seriously, that's really fucking great.
I'm really proud of you.

**David Friedberg** (2:23)
You're exercising, too?

**David Sacks** (2:25)
Thank you.

**David Friedberg** (2:25)
Or you just cut your diet?

**David Sacks** (2:26)
I'm doing the same exercise regimen I was doing before, which is just running occasionally, but it's all diet.

**Chamath Palihapitiya** (2:34)
It's all diet.

**David Sacks** (2:35)
It's frankly severe calorie restriction. And your unique product has been very helpful.

**Chamath Palihapitiya** (2:41)
But is it really severe calorie restriction?

**David Friedberg** (2:43)
Thanks for the plug.

**David Sacks** (2:44)
I think so.

**Jason Calacanis** (2:44)
Yeah, we were talking about Munich for the Syndicate on the call-in app the other day.

**Chamath Palihapitiya** (2:56)
You just did the Munich plug, so you could put a call-in plug in.

**David Friedberg** (2:58)
No, no, no.

**Chamath Palihapitiya** (2:59)
You're violating our rules of the road that we wrote down.

**David Sacks** (3:01)
It's not a violation of the rules because I'm not a shareholder in Munich. I don't own any interest in that.

**Jason Calacanis** (3:06)
But are you negotiating a deal?

**David Sacks** (3:07)
No.

**Jason Calacanis** (3:08)
Have you talked about funding Munich?

**David Sacks** (3:10)
No, I haven't. But Friedberg, can I invest?

**David Friedberg** (3:16)
We should actually throw that one in the syndicate if you guys want.

**Jason Calacanis** (3:18)
Yeah, Munich's great.

**David Friedberg** (3:21)
I did it.

**Jason Calacanis** (3:21)
I lost some weight on it.

**Chamath Palihapitiya** (3:22)
Saksipoo, what's your basal calorie burn? Did you calculate that?

**David Sacks** (3:27)
What does that mean?

**Chamath Palihapitiya** (3:28)
Like your steady state calorie burn on a normal day, like if you're not exercising or whatever, like based on your height, your BMI, your weight, all that stuff.

**David Sacks** (3:35)
Yeah, I did look it up and I think it's around 2000 calories a day. But the thing that's super interesting, yeah, there's a calculator online where you can enter your height, weight and age, and it'll tell you how many calories that you burn every day. So if you want to lose weight, you need to consume fewer calories than that. It's that simple. Everything else that people do around weight loss, that is not that, is basically some sort of game.
