Hello, Duff. Hello to all of our listeners. Now, just as you were being driven through the streets of wherever you were being driven through with it, were you on the tins or the bots? What were you on on there? Was it the Swan Lager, the Emu Bitter, Emu Export? Because we didn't get any of that foreign Victorian muck for a long time. All we could drink was like the local brew.
Or, you know, what were you drinking back then, Duff?

Well, we never did it while we're driving around, Sean, because we were always responsible.

You're a passenger though, that's correct.

Yes, that's correct. But I was at the time, my memory actually is as a 17-year-old leaving Upper Great Southern Colts training, which had been at the Wajin Football Oval, which is now called Matera Oval.

And going back towards Darkin along the road, and the Angels No Secrets came on.
And we all started, there was four of us in the car. My brother was driving, had a mate of his, Ray Speck, in the passenger seat, and myself, and a mate of mine from school, Brendan O'Neill, we were both in the Upper Great Southern Colts squad, and we started just banging our heads away to it. We thought it was pretty cool.

**Sean Gorman** (2:58)
Fantastic. Doc needs some of the boys. You can't go wrong with the Angels. You really can't. You can't not go wrong with them.
No. So anyway, it's been a very interesting couple of days, couple of weeks in the AFL, obviously, as it always is. And I was really captured by a number of things going on in the space, particularly Tony Cochran. I don't know if you saw that, Jared Waitley.

So I've seen the footage of the interview that you sent to me, and this is about the gap that has closed and potentially the AFL having been overtaken by the NRL because of the monstrous broadcast rights deal that they have signed.

**Sean Gorman** (3:36)
Absolutely. And look, Tony's very exercised. He's a very exercised kind of guy. I had a bit to do with him when the AFL moved the grand final to Queensland and Brizzy in particular, when they were up there. And so getting his insight to things, because he was the Gold Coast Sun's chair, talking to him and seeing him the other day, he was very, very critical of the AFL in terms of the Volandes NRL deal with the media deal. But also he was just talking about how, you know, Volandes is always open to, you know, discussion or debate. And he was sort of saying how the AFL commission and the executive are not. So they're closed off to those sorts of criticisms in that regard. And I think it's an interesting thing to be making, that if you're not prepared to listen to what is actually going on in the space by people who have been there, you're in trouble.
