I don't know why, but I always nod my head when that song comes on. It's like, it reminds me, it takes me back to a time in going out of Wajin towards Darkin, and there was four of us in the car. There was, my brother was driving. His mate, Ray Speck, was on the passenger seat. I was in the back. And my mate, Brendan O'Neill, was on the other side in the back. We'd been to Upper Great Southern Colts Training in Wajin, and we were heading out towards Arthur River, and the Angel song, No Secrets, came on.
And we all started headbanging in the car. One of those memories.

No, no, absolutely, no, that was a great opportunity to tell one of the great stories of Western Australia and footy. Obviously, Jimmy and Phil Cracker, it was a great honour, a great opportunity to do that. So, yeah, very good, but yeah, legends. In fact, I think I was the last person to, which was on the Indigenous Team of the Century, the AFL's Indigenous Team of the Century. I was the last person to interview Maurice Rioli before he passed away. So that was in itself an adventure. But yeah, look, I've got three in my top three.
Well, obviously, Martin Flanagan is coming on board. Martin is just, I can't say anything too high of him. He's been fantastic. And there's a, you know, I spent a lot of time in the State Library when I was researching for the Crackers and when I went to the age microfilm, back, you know, scrolling through the old microfilm. And I did that for, oh, God, I did that for two and a half, three months, just sitting in there, going through stuff, making notes of stuff, old school, analogue, you know. So but his writing was was so incredible for me. And his book, 1970 on the 1970 Grand Final between Collingwood and Carlton was just phenomenal because it it's the start. For those that don't know that this is the game where Collingwood are up by seven, eight goals at halftime. The myth of the story is that, you know, a lot of the committee men and people and fans and members are all popping champagne in the change rooms at halftime, thinking they won it. And this is where Barassi calls on his great Carlton side, which has the likes of, you know, Sydney Jackson and these sorts of guys. Yes, Jelinko takes the mark of the century in that particular game.
Barassi implores his charges to handball at all costs, which is that keepings off thing. So when you've got possession, this is what football is all about, possession and scoring. So the situation plays out, they end up winning this amazing game, this 1970 grand final at the MCG between two arch rivals. And they win it, and it becomes the start of the modern game. The other one, Tom Wills by Greg DeMore and Rose Boys by Peter Rose, which is a fantastic book about Bob Rose and Robert Rose, who had an accident, was a quadriplegic.
