Hi, everyone. Welcome to Little Miss Recap. My name is Amye Archer. I'm here today with Amanda. New season who dis?

Amanda (0:21)

New season who dis? Double new season who dis?

Amye Archer (0:24)

Double new season. We got today The Other Way, and we got some Hunt for Love, and I have thoughts.

Amanda (0:33)

Okay.

Amye Archer (0:35)

I wanted to tell you a little kitten story. We started to talk offline, and I told you I was going to save it.

Amanda (0:40)

My gosh, you're living their best life downstairs.

Amye Archer (0:42)

So my mother-in-law, as you guys know, has this kitten.

Amanda (0:45)

Socks Archer.

Amye Archer (0:46)

Socks Archer. Socks Archer.

She's in her nymph stage now. So she's, you know, between adult and kitten, and she likes to venture out onto the sun porch. Oh. Okay. And the problem with this is my dogs, when they go out, I just kind of let them run around. And so yesterday I went over, I was bringing my mother-in-law some halushki that I made.

Amanda (1:13)

As you do.

Amye Archer (1:14)

And she's like, Oh, let the dogs peek at socks. Cause I was petting socks. So I let them, they're outside the sun room. I'm in the sun room with socks. They start going crazy.

Amanda (1:25)

Of course.

Amye Archer (1:25)

And now they know socks lives on that sun in the sun room.

Amanda (1:29)

Oh no.

Amye Archer (1:30)

And now they just circle like a fish bowl and just barking. And it took me like 9,000 treats to get them.

Amanda (1:38)

Oh, your mother-in-law must be loving that. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah, that's a good time.

Amye Archer (1:42)

Socks is like, we think it's a she. She's getting her surgery this month. So we should find out for sure. But she enjoys the sun room. You know what I mean? She likes to lay out there in the sun as most cats do.

Amanda (1:55)

Yeah.

Amye Archer (1:55)

And now, whenever my dogs are out, it's not going to be enjoyable because Arlo, Nellie's like, she might forget about it. You know, there's poop for her to eat somewhere else. So she's got other things to do.

Amanda (2:06)

Sure.

Amye Archer (2:07)

But Arlo's legs are focused.

Amanda (2:10)

Oh, no.

In our house, we have like window seats in our front and in our back with windows right there. And so the kittens love those window seats. I keep telling Todd, I'm like, whatever house we wind up moving into needs to have something similar to this. Oh, yeah. They're real into just lazing around in the sun.

Amye Archer (2:30)

But one regret that I have in building our house is that I did not get deeper window sills.

Amanda (2:39)

Oh, yeah.

Amye Archer (2:39)

But it would have required him to fur the walls out further.

Amanda (2:43)

Right.

Amye Archer (2:44)

And I don't think, you know, with the new house that you could do that, I guess. But it didn't make sense for him at the time, you know?

Because we have, like, normal size window sills, but I would have liked deep. Yeah, it's nice that you can lay in them, the plants could go on them, you know what I mean?

Amanda (3:03)

I mean, ours are big enough that a person could sit there, like it's a real window seat kind of sill. So it's nice. And there today, I was telling Amy before we started, I'm doing what they call burping the house.

Love it. Really just trying to get some fresh air in this house. I want to do like some good purging and cleaning and all that stuff. But the kittens are like, whoa, two open windows and the bench seat.

Amye Archer (3:29)

Whoa.

The minds are blown. I drive Timmy so crazy because I have windows open constantly in this house. I would just constantly.

Amanda (3:38)

I would have them open more if I were solely in charge of what happens in this home.

Amye Archer (3:44)

They're constantly open and we'll get up like this morning. We got up. It was 50 degrees out last night. I had the living room windows open all night.

Amanda (3:51)

It's good sleeping.

Amye Archer (3:52)

The bedroom windows open. You know, so I come out here to get my little coffee and play my match factory and it's like freezing.

Amanda (3:59)

Perfect.

Perfect. I love it because you can always put more clothes on. You can get real cozy. Fall is coming to Pennsylvania, girl, and I'm here for it.
