We'll talk about Wednesday's game with Logan Henderson on the hill. Misiorowski made the start Tuesday. Ortiz did it again. And the Brewers are NL Central Division champs for a fourth straight year. Six of the last eight seasons. I don't count 2020 You play a 60 game season. That doesn't count in my book. They've won five of the last six division championships. Yes, it is safe to say they are the dynasty in the NL Central. Every year people pick the Reds, the Cubs, the Cardinals. And who wins the division? It's the Milwaukee Brewers. I think somebody even picked like the Pittsburgh Pirates last year. Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? No, never picked against the Brewers. Now I'll tell you what, three years ago I did pick the Reds. I did pick the Reds after council left. I picked the Reds and the Brewers won it. And since then I was like, you know what, what am I doing? And as I told a buddy of mine, never ever, never ever bet against the Milwaukee Brewers. And you should never do that. And whether you're at games or whatever, never ever bet against these guys because these guys are just, just incredibly consistent. You know, we're talking about just the consistency they have and, and winning, winning a division title, it's a great day. It's a great day. Eight of the last nine years, they made the postseason and they are in all likelihood going to be a top two seed, most likely. And you know, there's a shot, good shot that they're going to get the number one seed and the National League again. Number one seed in the National League. Love it, man. Don't let anybody ran into your parade today. Don't let any Cub fan dump you with, well, you haven't won the World Series yet. Well, you haven't won the postseason.
That Cub fan would give us, you know what, to be in the spot the Milwaukee Brewers are in, right? Wouldn't he? We got scoreboard on them. So don't let anybody diminish you as a Brewers fan about, oh yeah, well, what happens is October. We'll get to that somewhere. We'll get to that in October.
But yeah, just keep on winning championships. And I don't see how they're not going to be champions for the foreseeable future. You still got to go out and get the job done. Who would have thought that they would have clinched this championship with a week and a half to spare in the season? At one point, on May 8th, the Cubs were in first place. They were 27 and 12 On May 8th, the Cubs were 27 and 12 And looked like they were on their way to 100 wins.
By summer, early summer, the Brewers had bolt-raced them, built a 10-game lead on them. And the Craig Council memes were flowing.
Yeah, how about that? The Cubs were 27 and 12 at one point. And here's Milwaukee, 94 and 57 37 games over the 500 mark. Dodgers won on Tuesday night. So Milwaukee's two and a half up, I believe. Two and a half up. And five and a half up on Atlanta, who beat the Cubs.
To be honest, I wanted the Cubs to win because I'm more concerned about holding off Atlanta at this point than the Cubs catching the Brewers. But the Cubs won, or the Braves won. So they stay five and a half out, and that just polishes off the Cubs. And not that we're ever worried about them lately anyway. But I just want to keep the Braves at an arm's length. And if the Cubs are the one tonight, then the Braves are in six and a half out for that, for one of the top two wild card spots. So yeah, the wing of the week and a half to spare. Mark Antanasio, I know he's got a lot of detractors out there, but still he's put together a winner. He has stepped in some potholes along the way. There's no question about it.
