Brooks (0:10)

This is Trivia for Kids, where it's not just for adults anymore.

Casey (0:23)

Hello.

Oliver (0:25)

Hi.

Casey (0:26)

Welcome to Trivia for Kids, the podcast. My name is Casey.

Quinn (0:30)

My name is Quinn.

Casey (0:31)

Quinn, we have another very exciting week of Trivia ahead, and we have two very special guests on our show this week. I cannot wait for you guys to hear from Oliver and Alex, who are from Connecticut. They did such a great job. And if you would like to be on our show, don't forget to have your parents send us a quick video about why you want to be on the show or what you'd want to do on the show, and you could be a guest on the show.

Quinn (0:58)

Yes, do it. It's great.

Casey (1:01)

Do it.

Oliver (1:02)

Enter now.

Casey (1:04)

Would you like to hear a joke, Quinn? Yeah. How about two jokes?

Okay. Our first joke comes from Rourke, who is from Holland, Michigan.

Quinn (1:13)

Thank you, Rourke.

Casey (1:14)

What kind of plant has eyes, ears, a mouth, and a nose?

Quinn (1:20)

Mr. Potato Head.

Casey (1:22)

A face plant.

Quinn (1:26)

I really thought I got it on that one.

Casey (1:28)

That is a great joke.

SPEAKER_5 (1:29)

Face plant.

Casey (1:30)

I hope it don't face plant. And our last joke comes from Catherine.

Brooks (1:34)

Thank you, Catherine.

Casey (1:36)

Why doesn't a ghost make a good soccer goalie?

Go right through them. Because the ball goes right through them every time. Boom.

Thank you for the jokes, everybody. And here's our conversation starter. In honor of Halloween, just being around the corner, if you got invited to a Halloween party, what costume would you wear? Hold that thought. Listen for the end to hear what Quinn has to say. All right, Miss Quinn. Let's do some Trivia.

Quinn (2:13)

Activia.

Oliver (2:14)

I did sound like that.

Casey (2:17)

Let's go.

Brooks (2:19)

Here's how the show works. Trivia for Kids consists of five rounds with seven questions each. We will announce the answers at the end of each round. Each new round will have a different category. After the fifth round, we will have the final exam, which will test you on the toughest questions we have covered in the previous rounds.

Everyone ready? Let's get started.

Casey (2:48)

Round number one, the category is Disney sidekicks. Question one, what is the name of Simba's mere cat best friend in the Lion King? Question two, what is the name of Mulan's tiny dragon sidekick? Question three, in Pocahontas, what kind of animal is Flit?

Question four, what is the name of Hercules' flying horse sidekick? Question five, what is the name of Belle's tiny teacup sidekick in Beauty and the Beast?

Question six, Angus is the horse sidekick of which Disney princess? Question seven, what is the name of Winnie the Pooh's timid friend who is famous for being nervous? Parent challenge, what is the name of Ariel's seagull friend who thinks he knows all about human objects?

And here are the answers to round number one. Question one, what is the name of Simba's meerkat best friend in The Lion King? Timon. His name is Timon, that is correct. Timon is a meerkat who, along with Pumba, takes Simba in after he leaves the Pride Lands. Together, they introduce him to a carefree philosophy, which is Hakuna Matata. What a wonderful phrase. Hakuna Matata. Ain't no passing grace.

Quinn (5:16)

Get us off of here.

Casey (5:18)

Question two, what is the name of Mulan's tiny dragon sidekick?

Quinn (5:24)

Jonathan.

Casey (5:25)

No.

Quinn (5:26)

We were all thinking that, though.

Casey (5:27)

Its name is Mushu.

Mushu is a small red dragon who was supposed to be one of Mulan's ancestor's guardians. He becomes Mulan's companion and tries very hard to prove himself. Mushu fits him more than Jonathan, the dragon.

Quinn (5:44)

Jonathan is a very good name for him.

SPEAKER_5 (5:46)

Okay.

Casey (5:47)

Maybe his middle name is Jonathan. Maybe his name is like-

Quinn (5:49)

Mushu Jonathan.

Casey (5:50)

Yeah.

SPEAKER_5 (5:51)

Could be.

Quinn (5:52)

Mulanathan.

Casey (5:54)

Question three. In Pocahontas, what kind of animal is Flit?

Quinn (5:59)

Raccoon.

Casey (6:00)

He's a hummingbird.

Quinn (6:02)

Oh, but there is a raccoon in that movie.

Casey (6:03)

The raccoon's name is Miko, but Flit is the hummingbird.

Quinn (6:07)

That's a tough name for a hummingbird.

Oliver (6:09)

I think that's a-

Casey (6:10)

Oh, yeah. Tough being good. I thought you were saying tough as in bad, because I was going to say no. I feel like a flit is what a hummingbird does as it flits around. But you were saying it's tough like good.
